I'm 45, add me!

I'm a serial starter as well. Seven years ago, I signed up for WW and lost 65 pounds in a year and a half. Well, life happened, finances tanked, I had to stop WW and ended up gaining back 47 of those 65 pounds. This past January, I rejoined WW and lost almost 24 pounds. I decided to give MFP another try, (3rd) since it's…

I turned 45 on May 14th! I'm struggling, too! I'm finding it hard to convince my brain that I don't need to eat enough food for 2-3 people in one sitting. Feel free to add me, as well.

Hi. I'm 43 and need to lose 120-130 pounds. I'm a stay-at-home wife and mom of two girls 14 and 12. I've used MFP for a couple of years now, but have gotten frustrated a quit. Every time I quit, I gain more weight, so I really need to stick to it this time around. I walk for exercise and want to add strength training.

Hi, I'm 43 and want to lose 120-130 pounds. I've used MFP on and off for a couple years. I signed up for the premium membership, hoping that would motivate me to use it more. I had a bad day today, but I know that tomorrow is a new day.

Hi, I'm 43 and have struggled with my weight since high school. I need to lose 120 pounds to get to my goal weight. Feel free to add me.

Hi, add me too.

I gained back what I lost last week. My time of the month is coming, but I don't know how much that has to do with it. I'm trying not to feel too defeated, but it's hard. I would just like to have some kind of victory in this area of my life for once. My issue seems to be self-sabotage. When I do well one week, I seem to…

Happy Birthday! I will be 43 in May and can totally relate to all you have said. I want boots, too!

So, I had a victory of sorts today. I like to treat myself to an occasional drink at Starbucks, so I stopped in today. I was shocked to see that my favorite drink had 580 calories! Instead, I ordered a Tall Caramel Macchiato which has 180 calories and I actually like it and feel fine with the smaller size.

Been there, done that. At least you were honest with yourself and tracked the calories. They say that this journey is one day at a time, but sometimes it's one meal at a time.

I'm a mother of two girls, 13 and 11. I need to lose 120 lbs or so. This is my third or fourth time starting up too. I'll never get there if I keep quitting. Feel free to add me, I can use all the help that I can get too.

I'm a sugar addict, so anything like candy, ice cream, cake... It's like it calls to me and pesters me until I eat it. Ice cream, is my biggest trigger food, though. I can't just have one scoop, it has to be four large scoops.

I struggle with this too. My tough times are when my girls get home from school and start eating, that triggers me to want to eat too. I try to go outside and walk around my yard, or like others said, find something to do to keep my mind off of food. It's hard, but with practice, we can do it.

I'm in too! I weigh 283 lbs, to get under 200 would be awesome! I have to admit that the thought of someone seeing my food diary is a little daunting. That's what accountability is all about, though. :)

Thanks for all the great suggestions! Today is better, I got my walk in and when I walk, I pay closer attention to what I'm eating. I know that I don't drink enough water, so that is something I need to work on. I agree, this is a fabulous group! :)

You can add me, too.

I lost 65 pounds three years ago and have gained 40 of it back. Feel free to add me.

I had an off day today. I was so tired and couldn't get motivated to walk. What do you all do to fight fatigue?

Hello! I'm a 42 year old wife and mom of two girls ages 13 and 11. I've been using MFP off and on for a while now, but end up getting frustrated and quit, especially if I miss a day of tracking. I finally got over my fear of the scale and weighed myself this morning. It was disappointing but not surprising, so I'm back to…
