No one here will judge you! We are all on our own journeys and have experienced many of the same feelings. Get on board with MFP and stick with it! Put in your stats and find out how many calories you can eat to be at a deficit. Remember, it takes time, patience, and persistence. It's a huge learning process, and don't…

I have done that; that's what I base my caloric intake off of. I guess I should just make it simple and know that on my long runs (10-plus miles) I should eat a bit more than on my short runs/cross-training days.
-
I didn't have a whole lot to lose so I ate at the suggested 20% reduction.
-
Please don't! You are just wasting your money. Honestly, eating at a calorie deficit does work! It takes effort, time, patience and persistence. Put your numbers in to the MFP calculator and go! There are no quick fixes and rapid weight loss is non-sustainable. Learn to make lifestyle changes, that's the only way you're…

Worked well for me! 20-pound weight loss since January.

I enjoyed the workouts. I thought they were challenging yet do-able. I did not use the containers or follow the diet plan because I used MFP. I use the containers as little measuring cups and to-go containers. You can find just as good workouts for free on the web if you don't want to spend the money, and you'll lose…

Hey, I'm a runner too. I'm at the half marathon distance right now. I have a race on July 19. I did a track workout this morning; in some sort of sick way, I love track workouts!
-
I've had that happen in smaller races and it's annoying. I agree that it doesn't really matter, but when you put in a good effort or perhaps score a PR and it doesn't show up in your time because it took you 10-15 seconds to cross the start, it's annoying!! I usually start in the back of the pack too.
-
Makes sense. Thanks for your suggestions!
-
You know, that actually does work for me, *sometimes*. I watch FoodNetwork shows and sometimes just seeing people stuffing their faces decreases my appetite, or in the least makes me reach for fruit or veggies to snack on!
-
I have this issue too, probably because I'm a runner so I do a lot of cardio. I have started to really focus on weight lifting. I think I've lost muscle too. Maybe if you hit the weights hard, you'll build your muscles back up and help with the fat loss. I'm still new and learning, too.

Sure why not...hot!

Go to the Beachbody website.

I would be very concerned about the side effects of the drug. Are you also aware that B-vitamins can increase appetite? Perhaps you might want to reconsider a calories in-calories out plan. It's cheaper with fewer side effects. Calculate how many calories your body needs on a daily basis using a TDEE calculator and then…

RIP English language and grammar skills. You were brave and noble, and will not be forgotten by those who remain able to formulate a legitimate sentence.

I will sometimes dilute Gatorade G2 in water to help with electrolytes. I don't like G2 straight because it's too sweet, so diluted works for me. I agree with the others who have suggested stretching, especially after your workout.
-
Perhaps it was too drastic and you didn't taper slowly enough. Personally I haven't "quit" anything. Everything in moderation and within my calorie allotment.
-
Hmm, that's interesting. I have a somewhat low BP at rest. I do take time to cool down and stretch. I also have "runner's heart" -- slower than average heart rate (40 - 60 bpm at rest).

The original Insanity did not include a modifier; that came along with T25 and Insanity Max30. I did Insanity and Max30 and thought they were good cardio workouts with some strength training. It can take a while to get used to doing the movements correctly. All the power jumps in Insanity will make noise on the floor. Have…

Also Google Jenny Hadfield; she has some great half marathon training plans including for beginners. Perhaps you might want to re-think the race you've signed up for and find one without a time limit. You don't want to add any anxiety to race day. Find a training plan with tempo runs and speed workouts; they really do help.
-
I agree; trust your training. If you have worked hard and feel strong, you'll be fine. It's normal to have pre-race jitters; try to focus your mind on something else on race day - listen to music or talk to friends/other racers. Since it's your first, just compete against yourself and use it as a benchmark to determine how…

Foam roll! It hurts so good!

Please don't waste your money. Thorsmom01 is right, if there were a quick fix, there wouldn't be an obesity epidemic. Keep counting/eating at a deficit. Try to mix up your exercise with activities you enjoy (take a walk, ride a bike, fly a kite, climb a hill, hit a tennis ball against the wall...). Keep on keepin' on. It…

I'm 5-10 and was put on 1900 for maintenance. I've run my TDEE through several different types of calculators and each comes out with relatively the same number. I agree with the others, there are many variables; it's all individual.
-
I haven't tried it but the side effects would make me nervous, too. Did you discuss other options with the doctor, such as calorie counting/deficits, and exercise programs? I don't know your specific medical history but I would be nervous about taking a medication such as this, too. Second opinion maybe?

I love Cuties (little tangerines), Bartlett pears, Royal Gala apples (the crunchier the better!), and especially strawberries. I have half a frozen banana in my protein shake. I don't limit fruit; as another said, it satisfies my sweet teeth ('cause all of them are!). I get creative with fruit in my salads.

There's a specific workout on YouTube that I like to do; it requires 5-lb and 3-lb weights and is called "Get Madonna's Arms with this Workout." Silly name but very good arm/shoulder workout!
-
Learn about and then calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). This will tell you what your body burns just doing its thing throughout the day. Then you can calculate your daily caloric needs, factoring in what you want to accomplish for weight loss. Keep in mind that around 1 lb of weight loss per week is…

I'm so sorry about your sister and the pain you are going through. But congratulations on starting nursing school; it'll be a tough journey but worth every struggle in the end. The world needs good, caring, compassionate nurses! I'm in the medical field myself (EMS). Good for you for making the decisions you have. There…

I love cashew milk; it's my new best friend! I gave up soda about 6-7 years ago and have not regretted a minute. I hated the bloaty gassy feeling I got after drinking one and I hate belching! Now, if I try to have even a little bit, I can hardly stand it. I drink mostly water, flavored with lemon. I also have a Vitamin…
