I'm 5' 3" and my first GW was 137 after starting at 173. I'm now down to 142 so I've dropped my GW to 127 because I definitely have some thigh and tummy fat that I think will take more than 5 pounds to smooth out. I'm 21 years old by the way.

I don't usually feel like I lose energy but I definitely gain an appetite for junk food and find it much harder to stick with healthy eating during that time.

So this might step on some toes so I want to make it clear that I understand hashimotos can make it a little bit more challenging to lose weight. I've had hashimotos since I was 12 and in my opinion so long as you're properly medicated, eat to your calorie deficit, and stay active you shouldn't have much trouble. I cheat…

. So true! It's interesting reading everyone's experiences because I'm 5'3" and started at 173. I now weigh 147 and have yet to drop a jean size. I went from a large to a medium for shirts though and my pants are definitely fitting easier. No more jumping and stretching to get into them

I've never used them for an actual diet because like everyone else has said I like food lol but I drink a slim fast shake with almond milk when I'm running late in the morning and still need to get some sort of breakfast in me. I usually pair it with an apple or banana. My opinion on restrictive shake diets are that you…

I used to have this problem with fruits and veggies and now I only have it with veggies. My parents never forced me to eat fruits and vegetables so when I got older and wanted to start taking better care of my body I had a really hard time with the textures. I started with apples and worked from there. Now I can eat most…

I've had hashimotos since 2007 and I've never had any issues with gluten. I do find it a little bit harder to keep weight off but not impossibly so. As long as I stay active and maintain a fairly healthy diet I'm all set. My doctor has always believed that issues with gluten for individuals with hashimotos is usually…

Yay!! Congratulations! I can't wait until I can say that; very inspiring

I just went through that last week and ended up going a little bit over because I indulged in some late night Ben and Jerry's two nights lol I still lost 2 pounds so as long as you're keeping up with your needed activity level and logging all calories you should be fine if you go over a little bit.

Just be sure to eat the whole fruit; skin and all! It slows down the digestion process making the sugar you consume in fruit last longer for much needed energy. I used to worry about fruit sugar too but I've come to realize it's not a huge issue. I usually double the recommended amount of sugar just from eating fruit and I…

I didn't know that! That's interesting; I always thought if you are eating sugar filled junk even at a deficit it would hinder weight loss. Good to know; not that I'm going to go eat a bunch of sugar filled junk but I won't worry so much about how much sugar I'm getting from fruit.
-
I usually lose around two pounds a week. Yes I count calories and I don't think excess sugar from fruit is making me gain weight but the fusion has around 30 grams per 8 ounce glass. I already get about 40 and sometimes more grams of sugar from eating whole fruit each day. I think that if my body isn't using the sugar for…

I also drink the low sodium original now and I think it's a great option for those that aren't quite getting enough vegetables in their daily diet.
-
Yeah I definitely don't think the juice will make or break your weight loss but reading about it online recently sparked my interest in people's real life experiences.

I almost always coming right at or just over my sugar limit but at least 85% of my sugar is coming from fruit and I'm still losing weight so I'm not too worried.

Age: 21 Height: 5' 3" SW: 173 CW: 151 GW: 137 Once I hit my goal weight I'm going to re-evaluate and decide if I want to lose more. Some of the things that I've found to really aid in my weight loss are to get good consistent nights of sleep, drink lots of water, eat a good healthy breakfast, and working out at least 5…

I'm not super short at 5' 3" but my goal weight as of right now is 137 and then I'll re-evaluate. Max healthy weight for my height is 140 and right now I'm 151 but these last few pounds are taking forever for me! I would love to get under 130 but in reality I just want to look good in a swim suit and I don't really care…

When you freeze your smoothies do you find that when you thaw them the consistency changes? When ever I freeze mine they end getting super watery really fast. I don't use milk or anything other than water, ice, fruit, and vegetables so that could be part of it.

I weigh myself daily too! I know you're not supposed to but I can't help it!
-
Do you do any ab workouts? I would try first figuring out what is causing your hip pain and taking care of that and then I would try making your cardio more intense and incorporating in some strength training. Livestrong women and bexlife on YouTube both have really great workouts for your entire body that you can do at…

I'm not sure if you're looking for something super tasty and more milk shake like but I drink a smoothie for breakfast 4 days a week and it keeps me full from 8 AM to 1 PM sometimes even later. It's taste okay, like citrus mostly but I do: 1/2 cup water 6 Ice Cubes 1/2 of a banana 1/2 of an apple 1/2 of a large orange 1/3…

In order to lose weight and keep it off you need to make lifestyle changes. Yes technically you could eat whatever you want so long as you create a calorie deficit but it's not healthy and you will probably end up binge eating. Trust me I've been there done that and it's a vicious cycle. Be very aware of what you are…

That's great! I was just going to say when I first started switching over to a healthier lifestyle the first thing I started doing was getting a regular nights sleep in addition to drinking between 15-20 cups of water per day. I dropped just over 8 pounds in the first month without changing my diet or exercise! Stay…

I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years and living together for over a year. We are both all set.

Lol I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years...we're good.

This might be a super invasive question so feel free not to answer but do you find yourself noticing that the nuva ring is in?

You all need to chill out...I just wanted to know what people's experiences were. If you read reviews online about birth control they get pretty crazy and scary. I just wanted individual experiences not people arguing about whose opinion is more right. You're all right in one way or another because it is your own PERSONAL…

Weight gain and increased appetite are both included for a lot of birth control's side effects. Not everyone experiences them but both are possible and different from eachother. This post is merely to gain information on people's experiences with different birth controls. I did have a very active and healthy friend gain a…

That's what I'm worried about with mirena. Well also the idea of having something constantly up there is very uncomfortable to me haha
-
Yeah, while I'm definitely thankful for the information right now I'm deciding between implanon and mirena.
