I like to hit a muscle group every 4 or 5 days. That feels like enough rest without over-training.

I try to only eat exercise calories back if I'm still losing. If I eat them back and maintain weight, then I don't eat them back or don't eat all of them back.

147! Abs are showing but I'd like to see if I can get more cut. I got down to 146 in June of 2012 and I think the abs were showing more then. I'm going to 145 to see how that looks. Woop!

My guess is genetics. I have the same thing. I tried every thing I could think of to fix it. Closer grip on bench, wider grip on bench, heavy weights, light weights, dumbbells, straight bars, crossovers. Nothing fixed it. There's no way to isolate one part of one muscle. I eat anything I want as long as it fits into my total calories for the day. Gotta have control when you eat fatty foods and only eat small portions.

If you have a little self control, try the assorted bag of Hershey's miniatures. That's what I do. I can get 2 and stop. That's about 80 calories. If you think you might eat the whole bag, DONT DO IT! Lol!

Just finished bulk. Started at 147 early October and just hit 167. Time to cut! From 3000 to 1800 calories. Whoo!

Peanut butter has an amazing amount of calories. Try to incorporate some of that.

Happy new year everyone! Let's make some gainz this year. Update: October 10th - 147# December 27th - 165# Lost most of my 6 pack and gained some spare tire. I'm going to keep bulking until about March 1st, then start a cut. I'll try to hit 170# which I've never been before. :)

Back from Disney! I "bulked" this week and gained 2 pounds from 156 to 158. Now, back to the gym either today or tomorrow.

We're just about the same size. I've been bulking for a month at 2300 but I usually go over. I gained 8 pounds quick and it stopped there. On to 2500-3000 and see how it goes. I eat whatever I want. My only goal is 1 gram per pound of body weight of protein. I don't really track the other macros.

No food is off limits. Everything in moderation.

That's exactly how I do it. I save the calories for the evening. I don't want to get home at 5 PM starving and have 400 calories to hold me over for the next 6 hours. I usually have protein powder, mixed thick so I can eat with a spoon, with fruits, honey and either nuts or granola or both at the end of the day. Chocolate…
