Hi! I could always use more friends....I'm 27, I started with 50lbs to lose, and I've lost almost 30lbs (29.5...so close!)....20 to go!

My main workout is Zumba, but live classes which are an hour. I also do it on the Wii but I don't burn as many calories as I do in class. I've lost 30lbs in 6 months, but that's with everything, not just Zumba. Zumba is actually a workout I enjoy doing, and I know I'll continue to do it during maintenance!

I had someone first start to say something at 20lbs, now I'm almost at 30lbs and people will say things more often now.

You must drink it! I wouldn't say I loved water before but I do now. First thing to make it easier is to drink it with meals, take a sip between bites. I also found I don't drink as much when it's in a plastic bottle. A month ago I got a glass water bottle (lifefactory from amazon)....and I drink so much more water when…

I've bought stuff from Target and TJ Maxx. I haven't gone to the more expensive stores because I don't want to spend extra money for something that may not fit in a couple months.

I think this is great! I see so many people saying "I'm going to start on this day"....no, start today! I think people wait until a day they feel like they can do good for the entire day. Even if they screw up for dinner later, lunch tomorrow, breakfast two days from now....they're still getting started, and they might…

Yeah, I still have 21lbs to go before I feel healthy and my MIL has been telling me for months I don't need to lose anymore. I find it very frustrating because although she is just trying to be nice, I DO need to lose more weight, I needed to lose weight 10lbs ago when she was telling me I didn't. I just try to not let it…

I didn't gain or lose anything...I worked out on the morning of Christmas Eve and had a salad for lunch then a huge (delicious) dinner that night, and stayed within my calories bc of the exercise. I didn't have time to exercise on Christmas and I ate a TON, huge breakfast, huge dinner so Christmas was the only day I really…

I was not looking forward to being back at work either! Though I'm grateful I'm here today and not snacking on a zillion things at home. It's hard after eating big meals to eat lighter the few days afterwards. But it's worth it. Just keep at it, don't slide back down!

Heart rate monitor! It helps a ton! MFP is never close to what I actually burn. That way you are not overeating or undereating...you know how many calories you have to work with!

Boiled egg/fruit or toast Bagel thin with cream cheese Banana/yogurt Oatmeal/Apple Bowl of cereal

One time I logged half a banana because the bottom half was bruised and I thought it was gross, so I tossed the rest of it. I always eat a whole apple. I could see if people cut an apple up and only ate half of it though.

wow, you look so great! Congratulations!

I'm not new either, and could always use more friends! Feel free to add me! I started running a little over the summer....I still can't run a straight mile without stopping yet! :)

I'm 4' 11.5" and I started with 50lbs to lose (SW: 165) and 21lbs left to go (GW: 115). I'd love to join and feel free to add me as a friend! :)

I've done level one just randomly over the last couple months but I did it yesterday and it was almost easy....so I think I'm ready for level two. In the beginning I could barely do the jump rope and the butt kicks. Now I can do them without stopping. Feels good to notice progress.

Really amazing!! So happy for you, way to go!

bump! Want to try!

Once I hit 20lbs lost is when I really started to notice a difference, when my pants were starting to get loose and when I got random compliments, and it's just getting more and more noticable. Now I'm at 28lbs lost and I'm really starting to feel more comfortable, all pictures of me aren't terrible, I don't have to change…

We are a little similiar. I'm 4' 11.5", 27 years old and on a 1200 cal/day too. My starting weight was 165, I'm now 137. Goal is 115.

It's okay....it took me several days to get into a routine with logging/eating right. So you slipped up for dinner? That's okay, do good for breakfast the next morning, and lunch and plan for dinner. Just keep planning to do good and logging everything and you'll be fine! Planning is everything. Write out what you want to…

I think you should! The DVD is cheap, it's a good mix of cardio & strength which is important. It gets easier....I was really terrible when I first started and I've only done it like 8 times! When you do the "jump rope" thing she does, I used to just bounce (with my knees) instead of actually doing it right! haha but now I…

You need to allow yourself some cheat meals every once and awhile so that you don't feel like eating all of the bad stuff and avoid going back on the "diet". You can't completely deprive yourself, or else you are setting yourself up to fail. But you need to know that never again (if you want to be at a healthy weight) will…

You can always have string cheese as a snack. Even the low-cal ones are good!
-
I've really been wanting to mix things up for lunch (everyone else's sounds so good!) but haven't really got there yet. I usually eat a sandwich (on whole wheat bread, 50 cals a slice) either turkey or ham (sometimes with sargento thin cheese), peanut butter and jelly or tuna. I've been on a tuna kick lately! With the…

It's my favorite. I've pinned 2200 things! lolol...but I've had it since last summer. I find the best ideas on there...some of them I've done. It's my own personal google. If I'm looking for a recipe now, I search for it on pinterest instead of google, haha.

I'm 4' 11.5" and started at 165....I'm down to 138 now, goal is 115. I eat about 1200 calories a day and exercise about 3 times a week (and eat most of my calories back). Please feel free to add me! I could always use more motivating friends with similiar goals. :)

Weekly (every Thursday since I started on a Thursday). Sometimes I'm itching to go and weigh myself more than that, but I know weight fluctuates and it wouldn't be as accurate. And I wouldn't do it less than weekly because it keeps me motivated if I find I didn't lose a pound one week. If I weighed every two weeks or every…

I did WW two years ago (and spent a lot of money wasted on the monthly fees) and gained weight back. I've been doing MFP for 5 months now, I love it more for so many reasons. You never have to figure out/think about how many points things are (counting calories is MUCH easier), the database is much bigger than WW, fruits…

Amazing! congrats on the weight loss so far. It does feel so good when people notice! Especially people who didn't know. I have this one lady who's very sweet and always tells me I'm getting skinnier and skinnier which is nice but she knows that I'm trying. The other day I had a co-worker (who I didn't tell) randomly say,…
