How about a Russian swing? I'm sure some gyms have it- and it looks like so much fun :)

I joined recently at .25 cent start up/ $10. A month. I am able to do excellent strength training and cardio workouts so far.

I never had any of my thyroid removed- sounds like a rough night! I'm glad they were able to remove the tumor. Have they tested your thyroid levels post sugery? Hopefully the other half of your thyroid will be able to do "double duty." I agree that weight loss would be tough with low levels of thyroid hormones. I'm hoping…

Great job! Very inspirational :) I'm an inch taller- but other than that- our stats are close- I'm only 18 lbs into my journey- but I will succeed. And I like lifting also.

It sounds like you are being a great encouragement to other women- and to me- the pictures really validate your words (you can do this)

I started the New Rules of Lifting for Women about a month ago, and have had good results.

I absolutely love my Garmin Vivosmart HR. Tons of features and zero issues. I love that you can set an alarm (vibration) to help you keep your heart rate in the "zone" you wish. I highly reccomend it- and I can swim/shower with it with no problem. I got mine used for 50 bucks- no need for the newest model for me. It also…

The post above is one thing it is likely to be- but for me- if I haven't been to the chiropractor in a while- I notice reduced feeling on one side. The other day I had DOMS on only one side. Wierd- but less soreness can be good sometimes I suppose.

Polar bears are the only animal that will hunt humans for food. Be careful and watchful next time you are in the arctic

I can cook- sometimes. I have an "invisible disability" so no crutches/wheelchair or anything like that. My oven is very low and I have trouble with bending- and time on my feet is limited. I will look into doing some more slow cooker meals when I can- thank you for the suggestion. I currently cook for myself as often as…

Thank you for the responses so far. I already get the steamable veggies- So glad most of them are ok for me. Still hoping to find meat options that are quick/easy to prepare. I also need budget concious options because my disability income is not alot.

I usually eat whatever fits in my calories- in moderation including candy etc. But certain things I can't buy- because I know I can't stop with just one- Nestlé treasures toffee version- I'm looking at you.... lol

@shadow2soul Wow- what a transformation. The 2012 picture could easily pass for a picture of me. I am working hard and hope to someday have my own awesome success to share. You inspire me.

I would really love to go skydiving as a reward for reaching my goal.... I just have to somehow convince my husband to let me.

Wow- what a transformation. My husband has similar starting stats (height and weight) I will show him your story for inspiration.

Taking the stairs is a great start- also just walking more can make a big difference if you are staying within your MFP calorie limit. You can also look up body weight exercises like squatting you can do at home, and even starting with some low weight dumbells you can do alot. Every little bit helps!

I enjoy mozzarella string cheese- the light one I get is 7-8 grams of protein each stick. It helps when I am low on protein for a day.

How far away?

Where are you coming from?

What makes you say that?

I can't write any statements, just questions right?

Do you all think I am a criminal? Don't you know I prefer cake?

Can you believe that I make pies for others, but don't even eat them?

I used to have a very low (low forties) resting heart rate also. I agree with asking your Dr about these issues, but I also wouldn't think that the low resting pulse is causing all the issues you mentioned. Have you checked your pulse during workouts? Is your blood pressure low also? That could cause you to feel like you…

Helpful, is suggesting things to you once. Staring and continuing to come up to you again and again sounds like stalking. Now, is something you are doing scaring people? Does it look like you are always about to break your neck? I guess I could see his concern then lol, but I somehow doubt that is the case.

Don't you think MFP can help with that?

Wouldn't you rather age a little bit every day, than one big lump once a year?
-
True- but not all year TNP enjoys animated movies
-
Wow- sorry for weird spelling! Lol
