  • I’ve been using Trex bone conducting ear phones as I can’t have in ear devices. Was skeptical at first but they work well. They wrap around and sit on the cartilage and the sound passes through it. Bluetooth. Love them for my walks as I can still hear my surroundings.
  • Garden burger on 1 ounce sized bun, strawberries and sipping on a protein shake all morning.
  • Not directly. There are a couple of apps out there that you can use as a link but not a direct integration. I jut took back my Samsung Active 2 because it was just a pain.
  • First off Fibroscans are rarely accurate. Ultrasound is the preferred diagnostic tool. Lose slowly. Very slowly. I was told nothing processed, Whole Foods, no sugar. Lean meats, lits if fruit and veggies.
  • Doctor Gregors How not to Diet book is good. He also has a podcast. Mastering Diabetes is another good one. Both advocate whole food/ plant based. Both provide tons of research into the benefit for both type 1 and 2. Carbs are not our enemy. It’s what we eat with them, and if we consume processed junk and frankenfoods.…
  • Just came from a conference where this was discussed. The reason we haven’t yet seen reported cases that much is that the CDCs test kits were faulty so people are not being screened yet. We really don’t know yet how many infections there really are vs people just thinking they have the regular flu or a bug. FDA is allowing…
  • I second Phil and Phat. Corinne hits you from the psychological side. Very motivating.

  • I use Pacer app. Sync that to Apple Watch. Then sync Pacer to MFP. I get all my extra exercise calories earned and steps showing up. Before Pacer nothing worked.
  • Soak serving sized pieces in cold water for a couple of days to remove salt. Change the water once a day. Sauté in some olive oil with garlic and onion. Throw in crushed tomato and season as you would a marinara sauce. Serve over pasta.
  • I cancelled my WW yesterday. Frankly I can’t afford it right now. I actually found I was eating too few calories trying not to gorge on the free foods trying to stay under points.
  • A1C is now 6.4. Wake up to get back on track. Logging MFP and WW both for now. Need accountability and like the nutritional breakdowns in MFP. Scared. Not gonna lie. Dad is on insulin already, don’t wanna end up there too.
  • Not 100% sure of all the steps but today was the first day since I’ve had my Apple Watch that MFP had a close amount of extra exercise calories assigned. I downloaded Pacer app to link to MFP for steps to see if helps. Nope. Today I went into Apple Health and under Sources chose MFP. Turned off all categories. Exited. Went…
  • According to my Apple watch that 20000 steps equals about 7 calories burned....
  • My gastroenterologist recommended losing the weight and losing it slowly. If you drop the pounds too quickly there are chemical reactions that occur in the liver that can actually cause problems. I was told good fats, moderate protein, veggies and low glycemic fruit. Avoid white bread and sugar. No or very limited alcohol…
  • Just had this talk with my doctor today. He has me at 1600 calories a day with working up to 4 days of cardio for 45 min each day. Three meals. At least one snack. He said the 1200 to 1300 was way too low for my stats which are close to you.
  • I was told lower/good fats, nothing white, no alcohol, citrus and berries for fruits and non starchy vegetables. The doctor said to be sure the weight loss is slow. If you lose too fast you increase the possibility of scarring.
  • 47 here. I get one like clockwork a couple of days before TOM. Just started the past several months. Drop in estrogen. Always the left side behind ear. I take a cocktail of Advil and Excedrin Migraine.
  • I take the Renew Life brand. Won't ever go back to a drug store brand again. My inflammation is reduced dramatically. Costcondritis under control and bathroom issues are gone. Only drawback is the better the quality they need to be refrigerated. Yogurt bothers my stomach.
  • No soy here. Gastro treating me for benign liver tumors advised to avoid it. It mimics estrogen in the body and the types of tumors I have are related to too much estrogen in the body. I can't take birth control pills or any type of hormone replacement therapy. I was advised it is so heavily processed that for most people…
  • It's not bad if you put just a tsp in hot water with a little raw honey and drink it like a tea. Just brush your teeth afterwards. ACV is not anything new. All I know is I am off the omeprazole.
  • Hives
  • Keeps my GERD at bay. My mom has her doctor ask what she was doing differently with her diet. She told him nothing but drinking a tsp in water two times a day. He told her to keep it up as her cholesterol dropped almost 20 points. I also dab it on my recurrent gives and it stops the itch.
  • Braggs in the evening in hot water sweetened with a little raw honey. Also we take the capsules. Hubby has been off of GERD meds since he started. Mine is much better.
