I agree that having the oil good and hot should help avoid having too much oil sopped up. As far as using your scale, it seems far easier to me to batter your slices, weigh them, fry them, let them drain, and weigh them again. Should be easier than weighing your Fry Daddy :smiley:

My usual go-to snack is a dill pickle. Especially the Claussen brand. You have to be mindful of the sodium.

Looks like there might be a need for honesty coupled with tactfulness in regards to dealing with kids...especially broaching the subject with their parents. Is the child in question honestly at risk of malnutrition or obesity or some other condition? If so, what is a tactful, appropriate, and effective way to address this…

I hate to say it, but there's not much you can do for them. They like eating what they've been eating and the negative consequences aren't bad enough for them to want to make a change.

I lost 85 pounds last year pretty quickly and had some loose skin. However, it tightened up within a short time.

I drink diet sodas regularly and have actually developed a taste for them. I. I'm more of an aspartame kind of guy than other 'fake sugars.' That being said, when I do have a 'regular' soda, it's really good!

Oh I thought this post was asking for advice on how to binge. You know, the thing about the wagon is that it comes around every morning, so just jump back on. Folks have told you to keep the things you binge on out of the house, and I agree completely. I'm glad to see you recovered well!
