My co-workers are fine for the most part. It's society at large that infuriates me...

She's already said she just wanted someone else tell her it's ok if she eats more.

When I see new users and choose to add advice or answer their question, I try to keep it simple. She says that She's feeling fine. She's exercising and active. She's losing weight. Going from almost 325 pounds to 298 in three+ weeks is a lot of weight quickly, BUT, it's not an insane amount. Based on my own experience,…

If you're losing weight and feeling good, then your plan is fine. Remember that on MFP, you'll have many many people tell you that you are wrong simply because your approach differs from theirs!

I also managed to get a screenshot of the post asking everyone what their favorite smelling colon was...

Eh, I posted the picture of the Ranch Dressing soda :/
-
Some slapnut brought up ranch dressing and now the whole discussion has gotten sidetracked.

I'm more upset than I should be about the title being edited. :(

What planet did Diet Coke come from?

I like pickles. My mother and sister used to slice up cucumbers and soak them in white vinegar overnight in the fridge with ground pepper and a little salt. It's a pseudo pickle. I guess if you don't overdo the salt, you can have a lot.

Hello, I'm Brandon, and I used prescription diet pills and diet sodas as part of my weight loss plan.
-
Several years back an intelligent, hard-working friend of mine got in touch with me about an awesome 'business' opportunity. He sent me some information and the first thing that jumped out was that the material was all geared towards selling the idea of financial gain and independence. When asked about the actual product…

Mmmm...now we're talkin'!

Hello! I'm Brandon, and part of my approach to losing weight was switching to diet sodas. Glad you've heard of me :)
-
To gain 30 pounds of fat in two weeks means you were consuming close to 10,000 calories per day, and your body was storing 100% of those excess calories as fat.
-
Your doctor is right. You should give up diet Coke because Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi is far better.

Ok, so I commented on your post maybe ten minutes ago. And now I'm back. Why? Because I wanted to tell you that I'm excited about what you're doing. To be Legendary, you have to do Legendary things. And in my book, transforming your body ranks pretty damn high. So yeah, I'm excited about what you're doing. I'm glad you're…

Man...homeboy is kicking some *kitten*!

I seriously Googled "bmr calculator," chose the first result, and entered 5'2" female, 107 pounds, 25 years old and got almost exactly the calorie number you said in your opening post. What that tells me is that the bmr you got (1183) is probably accurate, or fairly close. Ok...make no mistake: I'm on your side...however,…
-
And you're sure you are, in fact, consuming fewer calories? (Don't read that in a condescending tone...I'm just trying to cover the obvious...)
-
*I used bmi when I meant bmr....sorry!
-
I don't want to be Captain Obvious here...however, a vegan diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes doesn't necessarily translate to fewer calories than you previous diet. Just plugging your stats into a generic bmi calculator gives a bmi of 1,184 (almost exactly what you got, and I guessed 25 years old). So, your bmi…
-
What other indicators besides the bmr test make you believe your metabolism has slowed?
-
And, as I reflect, I may have commented out of turn and the person I quoted means they would be silly to complain about their own situation.
-
I'm glad you're getting along so well. One piece of advice I'd like to ever so humbly advise for you would be to work on recognizing whether or not your comments are helpful or not. And I'd like to recommend, once again ever so humbly, that you take a few moments and read the comments posted before yours. Yes, some people…

Ok, so the official version of how I'm handling it is with Humira. The actual way I'm handling it is with a fairly strict diet. I'm very careful about oils...olive, vegetable, animal, etc. I try to limit these. Stress level...trying to keep it low. Drink a lot of fluids. Keep plenty available so whatever you eat doesn't…

In my youth, I worked more years than I should have in the beef industry. The main takeaways from that experience follow: Everything that lives will die. You, me, a tree, a steer, a deformed chicken, everything. Everything is reused. It might not be reused or consumed today or tomorrow or until our sun reaches its red…

Damn...I got White Cracker, too. :(

I'm just messing with you. I have Crohn's disease...although I've never heard that term before.

Hello there! What's a Crohnie?
