  • Thanks so much for the help, everyone
  • MFP has me set to 1300 cals, but with fitness I usually wind up eating 1500-1800 calories a day. Plus it's hard to keep calories that low on days where I work two jobs and wind up being awake 21 hours.

  • You won't have evening classes forever (assuming you're a student and not the teacher lol) and maybe once you're done, you can have the luxury of working out together at a more convenient time for both of you. However, yogurt as a post workout snack is perfect. It's got protein and sugar, just what you need for recovery.…

  • Check out the fancy salad dressings displayed next to the bagged salads in the grocery store. There are some made from yogurt that are super tasty and healthy, and about half the calories of traditional dressings (which are more based in oil, buttermilk etc). • No need to punish yourself and further reduce your plan's calories. What's done is done, and it doesn't change the nutrition you need on a day to day basis. Just follow the plan you were already on and having success with, and use the experience to help keep you on track in the future. Next time you consider calling the…
  • Depends. I see people on my Instagram having a "cheat day" involving a pint of ice cream, 3 chocolate bars, a bag of chips, and a night on the couch. This can totally derail all of your progress. However, a day where you're a little more lax about portion sizes but are still getting in proper nutrition, and maybe eating…
  • Waist trainers splint the abdominal muscles, causing them to work less hard while you're working out. You're actually making your workouts less effective by working out in one.
  • Getting married in October and hoping to lose 30-40 lbs by then (I don't mind being heavier if it's due to muscle gain). Currently at 170lbs. Down 2 lbs this week! I'm just doing Focus T25 workouts and staying within my calories, avoiding processed sugars or carbs, bad fats, and getting more water in. Going to have to keep…

  • Not all sugars are created equal, and fruit contains plenty of fiber to help it digest more slowly. Just stay away from juice, which rids it of that fiber while concentrating the sugar.
