I made a healthier version of artichoke-chickpea hummus by cutting down on the tahini (1 Tbsp) and adding 1/2 cup of plain yogurt. It is actually good and have carrot chips with it.

I don't know why but I tried roasted beets with pomegranate seeds and feta cheese. It was good...LOL

I had horrible acid reflux. So I started cutting out things I thought could be aggravating it. I still have it occasionally, but it turns out sodas were the main culprit. I haven't had one in over 2 years.

Of the drinks I get at Starbucks, the Tall Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew has the least amount of sugar at 12g. I don't add any extra sweetener to it and it is really good.

I made this stew recently and it was delicious. I love experimenting with spices. The recipe calls for 'berbere spice mix' and provides a recipe to make your own. In that recipe it calls for 'fenugreek seed (or powder)', which I could not find. I researched it and substituted curry power for it.…

When I don't want to cook something, I eat Greek yogurt with blueberries and a few mini chocolate chips. The chocolate chips are my reward treat for waking up and going to work. :smile:

This is my little man, Henderson. He is a awesome Great Dane; about 6 years old. I feel bad because it is so hot right now in Texas that I haven't been able to take him walking much. Once the temps get better, we will be on our way. :)

I had leg surgery in August getting some hardware remove, and with recovery it set me back about 2 months from running. I was careful to watch my calorie intake; and as soon as I could get around some I started walking (with my doc's approval). I really like Jillian Michaels; I've done Body Revolution and other DVDs from her. I also really like Dance Fitness with Jessica from YouTube. She makes you sweat.

I am enjoying running more now since my leg surgery in August; what a complete turnaround it is now. I just may pass my goal of 30 miles. Yay!! :smiley:

This... When I am cold in the morning, I first turn the shower on hot water and let it get good and steamy. :) Get on scale, get off, and jump in hot shower. I hate being cold. lol

Hi @iamkarent Feel free to add me. I am actually on Week 4 and this is my 2nd time doing C25K. I had leg surgery in August and am using C25K to slowly get back into running.

Yea, I tried to get my dog used to going with me, but it never worked out too well. However, he did learn that I go running first by myself, and when I return it is his turn to go walking. I use that time as my cool down.
