Lost 65 lbs that started when I found My fitness Pal App.

Three years ago I was 230 to 240 lbs. and the worst diet anyone could imagine. I decided to take my family on a vacation to Myrtle Beach and jokingly made a statement at work that I need to start on my beach body and loose 20lbs. Two months later as we prepared for our trip, all of my normal attempts had produced 0 lbs. lost. I had made some changes in my diet but was not monitoring my calorie intake and was eating a lot of sugar and fast food. When I returned home I had come across the MyFitnessPal App and started to monitor my intake. I realized I was taking in too many calories and focused on using the app for every meal for several months and next think I know I was slowly loosing weight. As the slow progress began to motivate me to do more, I started eating even better and started to slowly exercise. The first time I went for a run I could not run one lap without stopping. I did not even want to run. As myfitnesspal helped me change my diet, I learned sugar was altering my motivation and moods and as I improved my sugar levels, my willingness to exercise and change more continued. I have now run a: 5K Race, 8K Race, 10K Race and just finished my first 10Mile Race. My 5K race times have dropped my 36 minuets to 24 minutes. While I won't be invited to the Olympics, I have maintained my weight for over a year and current weigh 164 lbs. I owe FITBIT and Nike+ for the additional exercising support I needed but it all started with My Fitness Pal.
