Besides coffee in the mornings, all I drink during the day is water. I haven't had a soda or anything else in months. I appreciate your challenge for everyone; it's great to challenge yourself in a healthy way. :)

@UmmSulaimaan Thanks for the input. I have a ways to go but enjoying it so far. May I ask what is PIYO? I know of another person that is doing this program, but I am not familiar with it. I am curious too as to what exercises to do after Body Revolution.

Hi @tlh68 I'm fairly new to MFP; been here for a little over 2 weeks. I have the same commitment as you. I'm getting older and want to enjoy my life to the fullest and be happy. I'm tired of searching for the best diet to help me lose weight. I want to learn how to eat right and within my proper limits; time for a lifetime…

Good Morning! @Emmalusmom I am in 2 weeks of loggin on MFP. Yes, I plan on being 100% honest with MFP. I need to be accountable because hiding my little bad habits and such is why I need to lose weight. :( Plus, by seeing the losses will help motivate us to keep going. I wish you the best with your goals!

There is a lot of good advice here. I appreciate everyone's suggestions and advice. MFP Community is so useful and supportive. It is very true that we have to patient and look at the big picture of what we are trying to accomplish. The slower we lose, the higher chances are we will be more successful in maintaining the…

@skinny4me2be Oh....I see now. I've seen it a few times and never knew what people were bumping. LOL Thanks for the explanation.

I am in the same boat. I have been exercising 6x a week for about a month now and logging with MFP for 2 weeks. I just saw the scale change with a loss of 1.6 lbs. I get so discouraged not seeing the numbers decrease, but my clothes feel better and I try very hard to concentrate on that. The scale is the devil to me right…

I get totally creeped out by the animated advertisements on websites where they have people moving; doesn't matter if they are dancing, jumping, etc. MFP has one with the guy's head bobbing around. Eeeeek! My stomach turns when I see them.

@arlene3789 How are things going with Body Revolution? I start Week 5 today. So far I really like it and can tell I am losing inches.

I start Week 5 today. So far I really do like it and can tell I'm losing inches; clothes are fitting looser. I am not following her meal plan, but am eating healthier and tracking on MFP.

I exercise 6 days a week with 1 rest day. Usually it's 1 hr each day (30 mins routine and 30-40 mins walking my dog). He knows that after I exercise he gets to go walking. Lol

I'm cooking stuffed cabbage rolls in the slow cooker. I added quinoa, but you could include rice instead. The recipe is Pioneering Today Slow Cooker Cabbage Rolls. I'm sure there are some recipes you can find that can be baked in the oven in case you don't have a slow cooker.

Just saw this recipe. Thanks for sharing! @lightpath246 yea I've seen 'bump' a lot. I've wondered too what it means. ???

Just bake it and add a little butter.

@danieljshires I know this has to be true, but I would love to see the numbers on scale lower. I felt lighter today so I weighed. I gained 0.8#...ugh! I will try hard to focus on how I feel. Love getting older....not

Thank you @WMDemetree. I feel really good about this. I see where I need to tweak my food and such, but it is an achievement I will work hard to get. I was kind of disappointed the first week because I didn't see a decrease in weight, and I will chalk this up to the fact that I started exercising 6x a week. Hoping as the…

Hey! I just found this page. I hope to get to know everyone that I can. I have been logging on MFP for 10 days now and determined to stick with it. I always heard it's harder to lose weight once you get in your 40s; I was like 'yea ok'. Well, I should have paid more attention to that advice. UGH! I hope to learn a lot from…

@enterdanger This sounds yummy! I am going to try this. Thanks for sharing!!

I use honey and walnuts for both my oatmeal and yogurt. I also make my own granola; this is good in both as well.

I would say an 8 leaning towards 7. I've been doing very well....I exercise 5-6 times a week, log all my food, and really have been eating healthier than before, but I have not lost any weight. With all the changes, I thought I would see some decrease. :( I am hoping the zero loss is due to the working out and my body is…

I had the same problem. Proper shoes are very essential. I love my Asics, but what works for one person may not for another. Do get fitted for shoes; this helped me a lot. Another thing that helped me with shin splints is compression sleeves; I really like the CEP brand. I found a lot of good advice from Runner's World and…

I so agree with PinkCoconut. The "why" we are doing this will help us get through the tough times and stay focused. I'm well in my 40's and not liking it. LOL The "why" I'm doing this is because I am tired of feeling miserable in my clothes and skin. Also, I am scared to death of the weight gain people say you will have as…

I make this chili a lot. It is really good. http://www.the-girl-who-ate-everything.com/2013/04/slow-cooker-quinoa-chicken-chili.html

Hi...I am a recipe addict too. It's hard cooking for one and I never really achieved that once I became single again. One thing I would do is keep frozen chicken tenders around, heat a few, and add to a salad; and soups were always good and handy. I would love to share recipes with each other.
