It only works for those who are most honest with themselves. I may log that piece of cake from the BBQ last night, or I may exercise the same amount of calories and call it a wash.

Consider the body can only assimilate around 30 grams of protein in 3 hours, you end up stressing your kidneys. I tried doing 300 grams of protein before (at 250 lbs) and my joints hurt like hell. Currently losing about 3 lbs per week with no loss of muscle, yet. Diet is first, so my protein is high and carbs are kept to 200-300 grams (depending on the day). Lots and lots of water.
