C25K is what got me into running a few years back. Works wonders, but it can be tough. You got any holiday/annual leave coming up? Take a week or so off, bollocks to the job and the scales, and have a think about what you ant to do and where you want to go. Then go from there.

I'm pretty much alcohol dependant, but manage to keep the calories down, just log it as carbs.

Protein's always been good for getting me through, but on a bad day it's sometimes worth just going with what works, target be damned (depression/MHI here, so I just apply the same logic).

Thanks for the input guys. I know my V&Ms are pretty good through supplements, so I'll try going back to Lucozade before a run and see how I go, might look into taking dextrose after KB training and see if that helps. Problem is I can't stand sweet things at all (so no fruit, juice etc.), and I can just about force myself…
