Might have been pre-empting a bit there, mea culpa. No complaint with the message though.

Unless there's a certified dietician in the audience, I seriously doubt it.

Not wanting to steal this other Will's thunder, but... it's a lot easier biomechanically to run on a 'mill (IIRC you need 1-3% incline to compensate for wind) However the soft surface and lack of wind resistance means that some people prefer it, and if it burns calories and makes you feel good who's to judge?

"Captain" works better, as in pop below decks and see the aforementioned...

Personally I hate them now I'm comfortable on the road, but they're low impact and usually have a few motivators built in, so they serve a noble goal, just not my cup of tea.

Coming here's a great start, just take it slow; feels better, stays off better :)

NSV? Seen that around here a lot, guessing you don't mean the rifle...

Consider it the sequel; you're more committed now, so give 'er Hell, kid.

I had about 3 metric fucktons of bad news today, on top of planning a wedding, job application and dealing with HR tomorrow, so I drank far, far too much. But you know what? That's one day, once things settle downI'll be back in my routine, you will too, as will everyone on this fine forum after a rough patch. *kitten*…

Ah, I meant really heavy lifting, power rack type stuff.

Hmm, Roach then, and the ones a spiky fin's a Perch. Both really common freshwater fish in our part of Europe. Roach *love* hemp (usually nicked it off the big hooks when I was baiting for carp...) and Perch are predators, so worms/maggots do the trick. Interesting choice in catches; they're not normally targets around…

Unless you're planning to lift a bunch, you really don't need a gym.

Seeing as I'm on Android there's zero support, and using multiple devices screwed everything up (plus I can't stand the way it handles negatives (wake up to MFP telling you you can eat -1000 Cal today, yay!). I log through Polar flow web, so everyday I manually adjust using a 1min custom exercise. Doesn't allow for -ve…

I steer clear of the local gym as it's a pretty toxic enviroment, however I'm sure that's due to it being on campus, been to some great gyms in the past. A good start is to get a session with a trainer, just to show you the ropes and get you comfortable, getting a gym buddy would be handy too. Also don't be afraid of the…

Thanks, things generally are better now  I'm the EO for our union and work in student support these days, so a lot of my job is coming down hard on bullying, at least it's easier for me to see the signs than people who haven't been through it.

Lifting bores me to tears (plus I got fed up with being harassed in the gym), KBs are great fun, plus they seem a lot easier on my wrists than DBs or bars.

First piece of advice would be to get a gait analysis, which you're already doing. Secondly how long have you been running, and have you been upping mileage quickly?

There's several species on there, but the most common (big, deep bodied brown ones) are common carp. Makes sense if corn works with them, I used to use it all the time carp fishing. Boilies are good, and you can make your own, but I always did well with bread and corn. Hemp is great fired out over the surface to attract…

Leicester City. I'm pretty curious as the the distribution we have, always suspected there'd be a London/South bias.

According to the Daily Mail theory, everything in the universe exists in one of only two states; things that cause cancer and things that cure it.

Get my partner treated (finally) privately, pay off our student loans, buy a small place so we're not stuck renting anymore, then stick the rest away.

Never about weight, but pretty much all the way through school, including a few assaults that kept me out of school, missed about 2 years total. Uni was worse though, tried to kill myself twice there because of the problems, screwed it up though both times though, obviously.

Habits, if I don't set goals I can't be a disappointment.

They're a running shoe, generally I find you need a more general trainer for general gym work (much more lateral movement involved).
-
Core, basically. Although you really do want to keep a full-body program overall.
-
I pretty much have to use one for running otherwise I go full retard and overdo it, but for I agree they're more limited outside of steady state.

You'll pretty much nailed it, actually.
