If you follow the ADA basic food plan you will get the right amount of carbs, protein, veggies etc to be healthy. The processed carbs, pasta, white rice can be a problem especially if you are a diabetic (like me) changing to whole grains will make a difference.

I love the look, but living in a desert, I use a 6-pack cooler, ice pack and glass containers for the microwave.

Also, I am starting slow. Five or ten minutes a session. I refuse to hurt myself and slowly building myself up to do more intensive workouts.

Right now, simple stretching and stationary bike. I am lucky, my condo complex has a workout room.

I am grateful there are others like me. I usually eat okay, but then I binge. A half gallon of ice cream isn't uncommon. Since starting logging, I have not binged. I hope I can keep it up.
