Wow you look amazing.....huge congratulations for all your hard work!

I'm in Hampshire, I've lost 1st 2lb so far (even though MFP thinks it's 3lb more than that, hiccup with the starting weight!) I want to lose another 6lb to get to my first goal, I'm trying to do this by the second week in April (it'll probably be 5lb but that's fine). Then when I'm back from holiday I want to lose another…

Got my HR mid jan, I'm not having any of these issues. My battery holds for 4 days but I don't have it on all day sync or always connected. I think that makes a difference, I got an extra day out of it from turning those settings off.

Go on your fitbit dashboard on the Web page and click on your profile pic. That will take you to a page with various graphs. The first one is 30 days average burn and average intake. I know you haven't had it 30 days yet but there should be average figures there. From this you can work out what your average burn per day is…

I've got a set of cup measures. I think I bought them in Asda but it was a long time ago and they were very cheap. I think kitchen ware shops sell them.

I remember my mum calorie counting back in the 80's (if I remember it was 1000 cals a day then) I've done weight watchers in the past and a couple of times on mfp. I never have had that much to lose, usually between half a stone and a stone. This is the most I've ever had, around 30lb from starting weight to goal but i…

Mine seems ok now, matching steps on fitbit

I'm doing c25k now on week 5

I've just ordered some probiotics plus fibre as I heard they might help with ibs-c

Mine was showing an adjustment today but now it's taken it away, I've been for a run, and a 40 minute walk with the dog and done well over my 10k steps so no idea whats going on.

I love hard boiled eggs to keep me full for ages. Don't know why but hard boiled seems to keep me full longer than cooking them any other way.

Pad Thai....now that's a great idea!

Courghetti where I'm from. Love them with a tomato and chilli pasta sauce and meatballs. Tried them with a creamy sauce and salmon once that wasn't so good, too much water came out of them but I've heard the trick is to stir fry them. We can buy them ready made along with butternut squash spaghetti and carrot spaghetti…

I'll put it all on my spreadsheet and work out how many I can actually play with a day have a deficit of 3500 and work out the days from there. The figures at the beginning were using 2000 calories a day as a starting point and having a deficit of 5250 so I will have more of an idea then.
-
Yes...I've checked my calories burned vs my calories eaten over the last 30 days and the deficit when divided by 3500 works out to almost exactly what I've lost in lbs. It also tallies quite closely with the TDEE calculator at scoobys workshop which gives me 1844 (if i put my exercise level as sedentary or 2382 with…

Thanks for all the helpful replies by the way :-) I think I'll go with the 3500 a week deficit as I only need to lose another 6-7lb to be at a happy weight for my holiday. Now to make a spreadsheet to plan it and track it (I'm a bookkeeper - I love a spreadsheet! )

I have a fitbit charge HR...I don't log any extra workout calories and that has my average daily burn as 2139 for the past 30 days. My burn on a non exercise day is around 1900 and between 2200 and 2300 on a gym day. It's not that I'm hungry on a 1200 day, it's definitely manageable but I want to have more to play with at…

To be fair 6lbs will be fine
-
Even at 3500 deficit a week then is it OK to spread it out?
-
I'm not thinking of this long term. Just to balance out the weekends a bit and give me more calories on those days.
-
Yes, for now. I'm aiming for a holiday in April. Then I want to slow to 1lb a week and lose the holiday weight (thailand = amazing food so I'm bound to put on) plus another 7lbs
-
I don't log any exercise if that helps, just let it work out my burn from my heart rate so I don't get huge amounts of extra calories from exercise. I only get around an extra 300/400 a day over my TDEE on my gym days. On days I don't exercise fitbit calories burned pretty much match what I get from a TDEE calculator. I'm…

On the Fitbit web page dashboard, if you click on your profile it'll give you at 30 day graph showing your average burn and average intake by day....times these figures by 30 then take the intake from the burn and divide by 3500. This should give you and idea of how many pounds you should have lost in the 30 day period. My…

Fitbit Charge HR. Not having any problems with the battery, as I don't have it on all day sync. Definitely gets me moving more, I like seeing what I'm burning everyday. I like the weekly email progress report....so far my projected weight loss on it has been spot on.

I have a shih poo and taking her out everyday definitely adds to my step count but the walks are not much of a workout as she stops and sniffs so much. My partner often takes her on a run with him which she really enjoys (she's half poodle so loves to run) . I'm hoping to be able to do that soon too when I've got better at…

I'm doing one 500 cal fast day a week to give me more leeway with my calories at the weekend. I tend to 16:8 most days anyway. I've lost weight well before with 5:2 though I just haven't been able to keep it up long term.

The only people that I notice at the gym are the ones sat on their phones while you're waiting to use a piece of equipment. I'm new to the gym too and I don't care what I look like, I'm going to look a lot better than this in a couple of months.

Wow....well done. You look great!!
