AS long as your rate of spending is not faster than your rate of earning ; it does not matter how fast you earn the money. Earning it faster is not a guarantee that you will be any happier and in fact those who earn it more slowly often are happier in general.

I have been losing very slowly. Not giving up anything I like, If I am really hungry I go to maintenance. I have taken long breaks where I sat in maintenance, I have been working on making small changes in habits and choices. Nothing extreme that triggers a need to overeat or sets me up for total failure and depression. I…

I haven't been bored since I was a teenager. Eating is not a form of amusement.... ever. When I am hungry and low on calories I go for pickles. I always have a jar of them on hand. If I truly am very hungry I just allow myself to go over my goal a little and have popcorn. 2 slices of the 40 calorie wheat bread, toasted…

Speaking as someone who was once A Margaret (minus the children) and who has slowly been trying to turn into something more resembling a Chad..... Very very good post!! Thank you. Not enough people understand this point.

Maintenance for me is between 2700 and 3500 calories depending on if it is a work day or week day. I can easily consume 3000 on one day. On a work day plus aikido workout my TDEE ,based on Fitbit Charge HR, is around 4,000.

I don't know whether or not the medical community would consider it addiction but at least for myself food was a means of self medication. My only way of feeling pleasure in a very difficult life and a means of releasing stress. The only was I was able to start really getting a handle on my eating and my weight was to deal…

Some of the Momma Cozi Pizzas at Aldi are really good and low cal. But personally the best frozen pizza is a Digiorno stuffed crust personal size pepperoni for 600 for the whole thing.

I make a lot of soups and stews. Only needs one pot and maybe an immersion blender. You don't really eben need a recipe. Just start wit your base the broth you want and then add in whatever appeals to you. For instance for me one day I did chicken broth, a bit of chicken breast, chopped up carrot, sweet potato, green…

Not obsessed but I do like to go once in a while and treat myself to some special treats. love the apple and almond stuffed pork chops, the mushroom risotto, the honey vanilla greek yogurt and I always look for some interesting cheeses. My repeat buys are the Brussel Sprouts, Thai Red curry sauce, Palak Paneer, Brown rice…

I log after and only the exact numbers that my Fitbit has tracked as a workout, which may be less than the actual time spent in the dojo or trimming hooves. I use my Fitbit Data a little differently than the standard in that I don't allow Fitbit to adjust my MFP calorie goal. I prefer to handle that myself.

Being mad is a choice. Not a particularly good one since it raises your blood pressure and can cause health issues if sustained. Not to mention it doesn't help. It just makes you miserable. Okay you messed up. The good news is you know what you need to do to fix it and you know you can, because you have done it before.…

I haven't really given up any foods. I just eat some of them in smaller portions and/or less frequently. I do kind of miss sitting down to a movie with a big bag of chips but now I just buy a small bag or go with popcorn. And sometimes wit would be nice to not have to think carefully about food before I eat it. But I want…

Eat all of the veggies, but especially the ones that are in season. Right now I have butternut, acorn, squash, sweet potatoes, apples and new potatoes fresh and locally grown. Zucchini and summer squash and sweet corn in the freezer from this year's farmer's markets. A whole bunch of pork from a friend who bought a couple…

Keyboard warriors. I wonder how many of the people who posted would really behave the way they are saying they do. https://youtube.com/watch?v=kWF1tq1nkuc Anyway, I don't think I have ever had someone do this but if they did I guess I didn't figure it was worth getting worked up over. Just let them go. Why let some…

This is a question for your Dr,

If you post it on facebook you are inviting people to share their opinions. If you don't want their opinions stop posting about your food on FB. Keep in mind that people have all sorts of opinions, and they like to share them. That does not mean that you have to accept them as yours. Nor does it mean you need to be…

I don't find entertainment in weight loss. To me that is in the same category as paying the bills and doing laundry. If I want to have heat, lights, water and a car I pay my bills. If I want clean clothes I do laundry. They aren't fun but I still do them. They are just part of life. If I want to be not fat, I have to pay…

Just because they don't say it does not mean they haven't noticed. generally talking about someone else's body isn't a thing people consider polite conversation. It can often be very awkward and uncomfortable to bring it up. People don't know if you have really lost weight, if you lost it on purpose, if it is because you…

Most things I weigh raw but bacon... always weigh cooked. And of course be sure to use the correct entry. Preferably the USDA one.

First please try to plan some calories for a snack before bed. Don't go to be hungry. It isn't helpful as you know. Also have you tried, or considered trying melatonin? I have found that it helps me to get better rest at night. I still get up once o twice to use the bathroom but I have always done that so it barely…

Yeah I've been noticing my knees are starting to complain more with the cooler weather. Hot epsom salt soaks help a lot. So does ice but it is hard to make myself ice when it is cold out. I also recently got a tens unit to treat a shoulder injury, and am going to try that for my knees to see if it can help when they are…

Hot tea. Get some really nice teas and indulge in as much as you like. I have a wonderful little tea shop nearby and keep a nice collection o hand especially for those cold winter days. Most of the time I have it without sweeteners or with a little sucralose.

I've had chronic knee pain for years. For my issues taking a joint supplement has helped. Also regular chiropractic care, massage and being very aware of the condition of my shoes. I have to replace shoes every 6 months or as soon as they show wear. Unbalanced feet leads to unbalanced body which puts more strain on the…

Huh? Typo or can you please elaborate? I mean yeah I guess fat can certainly fill in the loose skin but I think it might hinder the op's goal of losing weight.

Go. Have fun. When you get back, get back at it. Maybe you will regain a little. Maybe not. Maybe your will be more active than normal and it will balance out. Try not to overthink it.

I don't. I'm not motivated most of the time. Just stubborn.

Reverse psychology. Tell them you are trying to gain weight. Meanwhile. You and only you, have control over what you eat.

If he loves you now enough to ask you to marry him now, then he is not going to love you any less if you are not 40 pounds lighter in December. While you can certainly lose some weight between now and then and be off to a fantastic start, losing 40 pounds in so short a time is probably not possible. Don't set unreasonable…
