Thank you

I don't know. It seems like all I think about most times. I prefer to think about like this. Of course it's all I think about. It's a heck of a lot of work and requires attention. I'll think about other stuff when I've beat this, but for now this is the most important job in my life. (Truth is my worry is that I'll always…

Awww...thanks.

Sounds like you are doing great already! I usually stayed between 1,500-1,800 calories a day. I've increased a lot recently to slow down. Overall I found if I got grumpy with my son it was one of two things: I either didn't sleep enough or I was eating too few calories. So I tended to follow my body and eat more on some…

Thank you so much for this. I'm doing the best I can for the little guy. Definitely a new normal.

Doing the wardrobe build as well. Actually starting to like clothes now that they look good on me.

Thank you.

@m_offer63 I honest to goodness ate whatever I could. I was just religious about accurately logging when I could. Ordered a food scale. Sometime I found food combinations that worked and I ate them over and over. Boring I know, but I knew I could be consistent. And here was the real important thing for me. I HAD to have a…

Hey man. I am 39. There are a bunch of posters in the Maintain Weight section who's words really resonated with me. To summarize you need to take the emotion out of it. It's just a formula. For me I needed to stop thinking about stress, age, time, etc and just say...if I eat 500 calories less per day I'll lose a pound a…

Well, with the string of 90 degree days we've had I think the whole population shed a few pounds!
-
Ha! You just made my decade!

Thanks all! I'm starting to feel like a person again. @dariusshaw I definitely ate a lot of salads. Tried to eat better whenever I could. When I found combos that worked with my calorie count I tended to repeat them. I did take one meal a week as a cheat meal and ate whatever I wanted. Usually where I got my BBQ fix. Like…

I need a mirror that's not in a bathroom now.

Gearing up for a little vacation.

So I started this weightloss in order to get to a healthy BMI. I just didn't want to see obese or overweight on my doctors chart any more. So, I set my initial goal to 194 (the very top of healthy...I started at 254). Well, here's where I am and my series of mini goals. So close I can taste it. And yes, I'm a touch…

Love my nightly popcorn. Great way for me to end the day.

Hit my goal before vacation in two weeks. 2lbs left. Woot woot

Had to rebuild my wardrobe. Also learning the joy of finding a good tailor.

Made it! 199.5 this morning. Down from 254 and into onederland for the first time in 21 years. Next goal is 194.7. Only 4.8 more pounds and I will be in the healthy BMI range and my initial weightloss goal.

How weird new clothes can feel. Especially those that fit well. I was so used to wearing bigger baggies clothes. It takes getting used to wearing stuff closer to your skin. BUT I figure if I put all this time into losing weight I might as well look it.

I'm rebuilding my wardrobe with clothes labeled slim cut. Crazy.

To get below 200. 200.2 this morning. Come on, I can do this!
-
Killer tats! Ignore them. You rock!

Way too tired for a Tuesday.

8 pounds. Started at 254!

Different kind of loneliness here. My wife died a year ago at 38. I decided I needed to rebuild my life and start fresh...but the lonliness is hard to battle. I've decided I need to love myself before someone else can love me, one part of that is getting healthy.

Just dropped below 210 (209.5). This has me past halfway point of Overweight BMI and almost to my next mini goal of being in onederland. I'm 6'2" and want to hit 194 a Healthy BMI and the weight I was at my best shape 20 years ago.

Almost exactly the same. Haven't been now in 8 months.
