These are great! Cilantro can be very polarizing. It tastes like soap to some people but others love it. I used to hate it but now I can't get enough of it. I put it in all of my Mexican dishes and most Southeast Asian dishes. As someone already posted, I would group the herbs into regional cuisine. For instance, the "holy…

I am 5'3" and currently weigh 122 lbs. I started off at 135 lbs 6 months ago, so I've been averaging 0.5 lb per month. As others have mentioned, the pound came off quickly during the first few weeks and then slowly tapered off. There were weeks where I didn't lose any weight and then it would suddenly come off.

I have about ten years worth of weight data between here and another website. I've finally exported all of them into one spreadsheet. I only have calorie data for about a 9-month period in the beginning and in the last 6 months. I've definitely notice a pattern in my monthly weight fluctuations based on my cycle (it goes…

I'm doing about 1450 calories per day. Feel free to add me [that goes for others as well].

If you want to pasteurize your own eggs at home, you can sous vide them in the shell at 135F for 30 minutes. Chill, then store in the fridge. Sous vide machines are getting cheaper and cheaper nowadays. You can pick one up for around $60 but if you don't want to buy one, you can just use a plastic cooler with 135F water.…

I'm the same height as you and weigh 122 lbs. I've been losing an average of 0.75 lbs per week eating 1400 calories a day. Are you sure you're accurately logging using a food scale (as previously mentioned)?

If you made your old food log public and you remember your old username, you can just look it up that way.

Every morning right before I take a shower. It gets logged everyday (I have a Fitbit scale but it isn't synced to MFP). My weight moves up and down everyday but I only really focus on my Monday morning weigh-ins.

Yup, what do you mean by fresh ingredients? And what sauces/condiments are you specifically looking for? Soy sauce is basically soybeans, koji (mold), water and salt. I've made it before. It's not that hard but there's a lot of waiting involved as it goes through fermentation. It takes about a year. It wasn't worth the…

My current favorite affordable store is H&M and Forever 21. Now that I'm smaller again, I get stuff at Zara. I also like Modcloth and Anthropologie.

Just thought of another weird food I've tried. Horse meat. Yup, it's there and it's verified.

I got my husband a bike but it's a cheap one and really it's meant to be exchanged at the bike shop to get the right one he wants.

I've eaten plenty of unusual foods in the past but those were when I wasn't logging, but I looked up all the weird foods I've eaten and they're all there in the database. My list of weird foods include crickets, whale meat, donkey meat and snake meat.

You can just hit the blue search button on the iOS keyboard and it'll automatically search all.

I'm 5'2" (almost 5'3") and weigh 122 lbs. I'm 35 years old and I'm pretty much chained to my desk all day long. My workout consists of judo twice a week and riding 20-30 miles a week on my bike. I'm still trying to lose a couple of pounds but based on my rate of loss, I figure that my maintenance calories will be around…

I weigh everyday. It works for me. I'm ok with the ups and downs. It has allowed me to see a pattern that when I eat out on the weekends, I retain more water weight due to the fact that restaurants tend to put more salt in their food compared to home cooking. I would be frustrated if I only weighed in once a week. There…

My mom got me the Betty Crocker cookbook when I was in high school and I still have it. It's tattered and falling apart but I love it. I don't use it as much any more but I still have it. The last book I bought was Richard Blais' "Try This at Home". My favorite chefs are those who've appeared on Top Chef (Richard Blais,…

The holiday madness hasn't hit my yet (food-wise), but the slew of Christmas parties and dinners will start this weekend. I've been slacking off the past couple of days and eating at/near maintenance calories. Hopefully all the running around shopping has offset some of the food calories.

Last night’s dinner: sous vide ribeye with quinoa and pan-roasted Brussels sprouts
-
Sunday night’s dinner: Frenched chicken drumstick with vegetables in Filipino adobo sauce and steamed rice

My current goal is 120 and I'm at 123 right now. I'm happy with my body right now and at this point, I'm trying to get to 120 just to say I've accomplished my goal, but I won't be distraught if I don't get there.

If it were me, I'd order the juicy pork dumplings. I'm guessing that it's xiao long bao which is a soup dumpling which should be about 35-40 calories per dumpling, depending on size and actual ingredients. The steamed dumplings should be about the same. I'd also order the mixed vegetables or choy sum but that can vary…

Is this the RSVP thread or is there a separate RSVP thread? I'm in. I'm in the US but I'm ok with international.

I log when it's a short vacation, but for a 10-day trip, I don't. I think I probably should, but I end up stopping after the third day. Long vacations usually involve a flight somewhere in a different time zone and I'm super bloated so my weight is all wonky. I'm still mindful of what I eat and I'm still mentally adding up…

You can also use butcher paper. Just make sure you wrap it 2-3 times if you're going to keep the meat in the freezer for longer than a couple of weeks. And make sure you use freezer tape to seal.

I'm 5'3 and currently weigh 124 lbs. I started off at around 135 back in August and have been eating around 1450 calories per day. About 10 years ago, I weighed around 150 lbs and it took me about 9 months to lose 20 lbs. I wasn't as active then. I'm a lot more active now.

Again, why is diet soda not an option? If it's because of taste, you can it with a lemon wedge and see if that works for you.

It depends. I usually just want clear soup and veggies, but my last bout with the cold, I just wanted to eat everything in sight. I logged what I ate. It was just a bit above my maintenance calories. It was only two days.
