Like I said, I'm doing it for reasons other than weight loss. I know losing weight can be done without cutting anything. Thanks though!
-
I'm thinking about going on a low GL diet, do you have any meal ideas for me? I'm new to this so I'm pretty ignorant

I would like to cut certain fruits/veggies that are relatively high in sugar, like apples and carrots. But I'll eat broccoli and kale, etc. Just trying to limit my sugar intake I guess is what I'm saying. Do you have any experience doing that?
-
I guess refined/processed sugar... I'm still in the "educating myself" phase so I'm pretty ignorant and any info would be appreciated.

Thank you everyone for the replies! After thinking about it I think it's a little too high in calories for just one meal so I'll go with a kale salad instead.
-
Wow lucky... My goal is 1200 lol
-
Thanks for the clarification! Yeah, I wasn't sure about the negative calories thing either which is why I put it in quotations.

Pizza Crispy chicken tenders Fries Oreo McFlurry White choc macadamia cookies Mozzarella sticks Cheesecake Chocolate!!!

Distract yourself by doing other things, and eat small snacks throughout the day (within your calorie limit of course) so you're not starving yourself. I schedule my eating times so I can wait for when it's time to eat without being tempted to indulge NOW. Hope this helps! Feel free to add me for any food ideas.

Ah thank you for the reply! It's always stressful eating out with no nutritional info lol. I'll try to break it down and see what I get :)

Skinnygirl or ThinkThin 150 calorie protein bars. I always choose the lowest calorie options and plus they taste GREAT!

I'm not an expert but I've read that not all calories are equal because it takes a different amount of calories for your body to digest it after it's been consumed. For instance, 100 calories of carrots is not exactly the same as a 100 calorie cookie because your body will burn more calories digesting the carrots (some…

Haha don't worry, my poop weighs 2 lbs so I don't even weigh myself after I've indulged
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading in one of your posts that you eat pizza every day. Have you thought about eating more clean meals? I think what you eat is more important than a calorie deficit for your overall health. Maybe it'd help with the blood pressure too? (I'm not an expert, just a thought I had)…

If you are staying at a calorie deficit you should be losing weight. So maybe you're not really logging accurately?
-
Breakfast: banana (90-100 cal), English muffin w/ egg and ketchup (I use butter to cook the egg) - (170 cal) Lunch: packaged salad from Kroger (240 cal) Snacks throughout the day: light string cheese (50 cal), 1/2 Fage 0% yogurt (50 cal), pack of unsalted nuts (100 cal) Dinner: veggie tray from Kroger (160 cal), sometimes…

Sounds normal to me, I'm 5'1 and it took me 2 months to lose 8 pounds. I'm 104 now and still want to lose another 6 lbs and they say the last few pounds are always the hardest bc there's less weight to lose. I'm gonna keep going at it though!!!

Add me as a friend! :) I'm here to support you

Hey I'm 5'1 and 104 lbs trying to lose another 6 pounds or so. I have my goal set at 1200 calories per day and I try to eat small meals or snack every 2 hours. And if I go to the gym I'll do an hour of cardio. I am able to stay under my limit 6 out of 7 days and I give myself one day a week to enjoy food without…

I weigh myself every time I go to the gym (3-5 times a week), but only ever log when I see a considerable difference (1-2 lbs). So about every other week.
-
Why are you fasting? I am similar to you: 5'1" and 104 lbs. Goal weight around 98 lbs. I never fast, I just eat at a deficit every day. I make sure I get all my protein, fat and carbs etc and do cardio workouts 3-5 times a week. I don't see why fasting is necessary?
-
Wow good job! Just keep it going and be patient :) weight loss is not linear meaning it could go up and down depending on what you ate/drank that day but overall it should decrease in the long run. As for me the first 8 pounds came off super fast but now I'm having a hard time with the last 5. Now that I weigh less there's…

My only advice is to be careful and make sure you are getting the nutrients you need. When I went vegan I developed all kinds of health problems including tendinitis, brittle nails, etc. Don't do it the way I did lol
-
I was a normal healthy weight my whole life but I developed an eating disorder (anorexia) in college. I was in a super unhealthy relationship that led to depression and I can't eat when I'm depressed so I lost tons of weight (I weighed 93 lbs). Well I got out of that relationship and slowly I gained my appetite back and…

I'm almost a vegetarian, the only meat I eat is chicken and very little of it. I try to get my protein via yogurt and protein bars. I was basically vegan for a year in college and it was detrimental to my health. I developed tendinitis in both my arms, my nails were brittle, I was underweight and malnourished. My dad was…

I have found that drinking a lot of water and a cup of green tea helps! Green tea and nuts (unsalted) kills the appetite in my opinion. Maybe it'll help you?
-
Ps. The things I don't bother to log are things with 0 calories, like green tea and water lol
-
I log everything from cooking butter to ketchup (even if it's just 1 tsp). Calories are calories! Especially sauces or dressing can be very high calorie (100 per tbs!) Why wouldn't you if you could be eating several tbs of them? It makes a difference.

Hey! I'm 5'1 and mine is set at 1200 to lose 1 lb per week but I've been doing well with 800-900 cals per day. I know I'm probably going to get criticism for this but I've lost 8 lbs in the last couple months (I'm 104 lbs now which is still a very healthy weight) and I feel great! I also have really good self control so I…
