Thank you! I've decided to make today a light day, as its already 12:30 and I'm just now feeling some hunger anyways. Plus, I'm getting a rare afternoon to myself - no one to eat with or cook for. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! Its raining here, which is so nice for the new Lillys and Roses I added to…

I lost my healthy eating streak yesterday and today. I got into girl scout cookies and peanut butter M&Ms. I tracked everything and have almost eaten back my entire calorie deficit from last week. (Life would be easier if I had a button I could press to make me eat just a small treat and then stop) Should I add a 3rd light…

I can't speak for what others are doing, but with any WOE how many calories to eat will depend on your goals. To lose weight you have to eat at a deficit, and this may be different for others but here is how I'm slowly losing a few pounds with 5:2. First I calculated calories I needed for 7 days of maintenance. For me is…

I survived my light day, and today am really enjoying eating full meals! I'm happy to also note, this morning I am a full pound lighter than his day last week!
-
Thanks Meghan!! I'm hoping to add exercise to my light days.

Meghan509 (and anyone) what are y'all doing for workouts on fasting days? So far I've only gone on a walk. Anyone hitting the gym and lifting or doing high intensity on light days? Also, are you eating near the time your working out or waiting? Thanks!!

Today is my fasting day...feeling hungry at the moment. :#

I measured and my belly is 1.25 inches smaller than it was in January. Even though the scale shows no change, I know changes are happening. Slowly and surely....just exactly like gaining weight, but in reverse.

Kerdonkas - Hi! What you are going through sounds very similar to me. I've gained about 10 pounds that won't seem to budge. This is week 2 of 5:2 for me though, and I can feel my belly is tighter so even though the scale hasn't budged I am very hopeful. Good luck and keep up the good fight!

Thanks for the encouraging words! Planning on taking measurements tomorrow, its been a couple of months so I'm hoping my efforts will show there even though the scale fluctuates between the same 5 pounds.

Hey! I am so tired of this trend- this time last week scale read 133.5. Overall last week I had a great week and was 1,500 under calories for the week. Today my scale reads 137. I'm about 3 weeks away from my monthly cycle. Anyone else go through this? How do you stay motivated? Thanks!

Love reading eceryones posts! Thanks for sharing.

5 2 is great for me because on maintenance calorie days I do my hard exercise like kickboxing and CrossFit. Having enough fuel in my tank those days has allowed me to push harder and lift heavier then when I was eating a deficit every day of the week. Also I've discovered a bigger weekly deficit is much easier to reach on…

Meghan509 : I agree re:coworkers, and Great job sticking to your plans! It's always tricky when dealing with people/colleagues who may have something unsupportive to say about your WOE. Or they my not understand and just ask too many questions!

Beautiful pictures, looks like a nice place to go for vacation!

Great to meet you and happy to have this group! As they say at my gym, "Embrace the suck!"
-
Glad it's going well! I'm happy because my work meeting didn't include lunch. So my light day is so far a success, and I am looking forward to a nice chicken dinner!
-
Hi Kerdonkas! I'm on my 2nd fast day this week as well, and going to a lunch meeting where food is ordered in. Hopefully they will have salad! If not, I'll pick another day this week and try again. Have a great day everyone!
-
Yesterday was a light day for me and the scale shows I am down a pound. I'm encouraged to keep this up! How is everyone else doing this week?
-
This is my second day fasting my plan is Tues/Thursdays under 600 calories. Right now Im feeling hungry, but it's manageable. Meghan I'm east coast too- I'm in Atlanta and it's getting hot this week! I'm working from home today and currently sitting on the porch enjoying the weather.

I'm 40 and have PCOS. I've always been fit and healthy weight, but I gained about 10 pounds in 2015-2016 and have been working on losing the fluff for a few months without any progress. (Gain 1 / Lose 1, over and over.) I just started IF for 2 days a week to see if it helps! Today was day one and it was actually…

Building muscle will help reduce the squishy parts. Also, your pics look like you are already very lean (even your hips).
-
Same same here. I'm at a .5lb deficit and don't see the scale change downward very often. Just eating at maintenance for 1 day will cause a 1lb scale increase. I'm seeing new muscle definition in my arms and shoulders so even though the scale says this month I haven't lost, I know I'm making progress at getting leaner.
-
Would like some new adds also! Kickboxing and Crossfit Athlete in Atlanta.
-
This is what I've been looking for! I've only got about 7 lbs to drop then will be on this plan to stay lean and keep building strength.

My PCOS was diagnosed over 20 yrs ago. Everyone's different so don't let the doctors or internet scare ya!! For me the only noticeable symptom is irregular periods. :)
-
I've added who I can from here....anyone know of an easier way to add then typing in the username? Thanks! Also, please add me...I track all food and share my diary.

I try to stick to minimally processed foods - the fresher the better! Avoid anything you know is high in saturated fat like fried foods, baked dessert, chocolate, specialty coffees made with cream. If I'm eating somewhere where all the choices are going to be high calorie, I go back to basics - salad, veggies, small…
