No, these 'ready meals' will still have extra ingredients for flavouring, if you want the get the most out of fat loss/lean muscle you need to have natural and fresh ingredients. Roasting is most definitely better, as some others have said its nice to have a treat and deep fry sometimes. I love sweet potato fries deep fried, but other times I will just roast them.

I'd suggest just trying to bump up your weight a bit, perhaps start off with a heavier weight then if it is too much drop down. If heavy weights are too much just do lots of reps on a much lower weight.

I've gone for whey protein from protein works..chocolate silk flavour. I plan on three a day, first one (with water) as a mid-snack in the office (i get very hungry around 10.30am), one straight after my workout (with water) and then one before bed (with milk)
