I was interested in this a few years ago and did some research on it and talked to my doctor about it. He said it can cause problems if a person doesn't have a sensitivity. "If you’re determined to go gluten free, it’s important to know that it can set you up for some nutritional deficiencies. Fortified breads and cereals…

People "scoff" at that because it is very difficult to gain muscle mass when eating at a deficit especially for a female.

You really don't want to lose weight quickly because you will lose muscle mass and if you are going to join the marine corps you will want to keep the muscle you have. Protein can help you maintain muscle mass if you are at a reasonable deficit but it will not make you lose weight. Good luck

Food borne illness can begin quickly or take weeks to appear "Signs and symptoms may start within hours after eating the contaminated food, or they may begin days or even weeks later. Sickness caused by food poisoning generally lasts from a few hours to several days"…

If the chicken still had pinkish areas then it spent too much time in the danger zone 40°f-140° and the black area was the result of that. If you partially cook chicken you risk food borne illness even if you finish cooking the chicken later.

This is a great suggestion. I know people who fast and do this so they don't have their first meal when they are ravenous.

You should be eating that and your exercise calories. So 1950+exercise calories=daily goal. Most people only eat half of the exercise calories they get because the exercise calories can be overestimated. My suggestion is eat 1950+50%exercise=goal. I eat all my exercise calories because I know my garmin is giving me correct…

What is the goal mfp gives you before exercise?

Do you have a treatment team helping with your eating disorder? You should discuss this with your doctor if you suspect metabolic damage and have them get you the help you need.

I have always thought the idea of confusing the body this way or that you can trick the body was illogical. It's nice to know I'm not the only one.

The magic is that some people think they can eat more because they drink diet drinks and then blame the diet drink instead of taking responsibility for what they ate. The real magic is that other people will agree because it sounds good.

Did you ask why the trainer wanted you to track macros? Did the trainer give you a goal? What training/qualifications does this person hold to make the advice credible?
