Hi Everyone, I'm Victoria and I'm currently breastfeeding my 3 month old little boy. Ive found myself in a motivation hole and find it hard to sustain eating well. What do you do to motivate yourself to eay well when you're exhausted and welded to the sofa?

Well done for the weight loss under such trying circumstances. What is vanilla halo top? Sounds naughty!!!

I weighed myself........ Drum roll....... I've lost 1.7kg in a week!! Whoop whoop! Feeling OK, although very tired and body is sore, but the good news is bloods for not indicate a flare!! Today is a sofa day of epic proportions!! Did anyone else have a weigh in today? What is your non weight victory? Mine is my baby sister…

Morning all!! Got in the pool this morning and I have to say I felt OK. It was an easy swim to build up the distance. Still can't do walking or running as legs blow up, but happy with the water at the moment!! Paranoid that I'm heading towards a flare as work is stacking it on! They don't tell you about this bit do they!!…

Hi SunshineRey and nvmomketo, hope you are doing OK! Yes AI are complete crap, leg keep swelling at the moment so exercise is reserved for the swimming pool! I swam today and did 2.7km. I tried some sprints and the good news is I had it in me, but having only been back in the water for 4 weeks, I have no stamina!! Ate well…

I have vasculitis, suspected lupus and fibromyalgia so far! Chronic pain, fatigue and generally pissed off my body is busted!! Getting fit and trying to lose my medication weight in spite of my aylements!! It would be great to keep in touch and post weight loss and non weight loss victories!!

I went swimming today and felt really good in the water. Joints are aching but no stabbing pains which is excellent! Hopefully I will sleep tonight although will take some pain relief just to be sure! No weight loss but certainly a win for getting into the pool and not breaking!!
-
Let me know how you get on with this as it sounds really good. How much weight do you add on for each set?

Been a week of hospital trips so my eating has gone out the window! My consultant meetings are always a bit emotional so I have drunk way too much wine and eaten way too much chocolate and pringles. I had two takeaways on the trot and haven't been swimming or to the gym. I feel completely rubbish. I think this diet is…

Hi Stephanie, on the desktop version of myfitnesspal you can change the things it tracks on the main dash. I think you need to go to settings. If you cant find it, i'll take a look for you and let you know! I have changed it so it is measuring carbs, fibre, fat, protein and salt. This makes the calculation much easier.…

Oh, and I weighed in and am down to 18.9% fat so thats down another 0.3%. No shift in the weight though, still at 67.9kg!

Not checked in for a couple of days. Car broke in Friday which scuppered my gym plans which was annoying! Went well over my carb and calorie total but to be honest it was too much good stuff rather than naughties! Yesterday did a 5km straight swim in the pool and clocked in at 77mins 20seconds so starting to get closer to…

Low impact ideas - the rowing machine is fab for cardio and muscle strengthening. You could also use rubber bands for resistance exercises. If its getting cold where you are, you can get these bike rollers where you put your normal bike on it and it spins so you dont actually go anywhere but its good for your balance and…

Yesterday was a good day from both a food and exercise view point. I made one of my most fav meals. Chicken parma (chicken crumbed in wheat bran (this is mainly fibre) and then fried in olive oil) topped with ham, home made tomato sauce (I can put the recipe up if anyone want sit!) and then mozzarella cheese all placed…

So yesterday I was so tired that I succumbed to it and had a quiet evening in. It was lovely and just made me realize how you have to nurture the old 'grey matter' as well as the body! I sat with my two rough collies who dutifully kept my feet warm and with my other half watching terrible movies. Drank low calorie tonic…

Completely feel your pain. I was knocked down with an automimmue disease in May. It took me clean off my feet! I was swimming, running, walking the dogs, super fit, no problems at all, then BAM there it was! Been out of hospital for 7 weeks now, but my god its left a legacy! It causes inflammation in my joints and skin, so…

Please, please dont beat yourself up!! I think sometimes we are so strict with ourselves that its almost inevitable to fall off the horse!! I try not to deny myself anything, yes even crisps, chocolate and wine!! As soon as I say no to myself, then thats it, I go into overload and stuff my face stupid and feel so guilty…

Yesterday I felt tired. Probably a lag over from the 7km swim on Sat combined with my first sprint session on Monday. I ate well, managed 47g net carbs, about 100g fat and about 130g protein. Macros still sitting in 20/50/30 even though trying to reduce protein. Hvaing said that it seems to be working in a fashion as…

Fell off the horse yesterday and ate my body weight in cheese and drank a bottle of wine! Slept badly and woke up stiff as a board (alcohol makes my body seize!). BUT....today was a good day food wise. Went swimming for 90 mins and started sprint training. Joints kicked up a bit but thats probably down to drinking last…

I think you are right! And like the other replies here, pred makes you only focus on food which is annoying!! It slips into everything you do. Writing an email 'oooh I fancy a sandwich the size of my head'. Walking the dog 'oooh I could just do with destroying a family size bar of chocolate' You start to think youre…

I still have my daily 500 cal deficit but on top of that I have about 500-700 left from calories I havent eaten from exercise. So the total is about 4000 calories a week.
-
I'm keeping to the 500 calorie deficit set at the beginning of this process, then the calories burnt add on another 500-700 calories. So technically it equates to about 4000-4200 deficit per week. I am guessing that I need to readdress the daily calorie deficit as this may have reduced now I have lost the weight.

I've been on it for 4 months. Started at 60mg and have tapered to 20mg. Docs say I'm going to stay on it for a while, so don't want to get myself worked up about something that I don't have any control over. But then again, i don't want it to be an excuse either if that makes any sense at all!!

Thank you so much for this link! I think I'm just not being patient enough!

Everyone has a blip day!! Its good for the soul! Trying to be strong but so damned munchy today! I know its my head, but the desire to stuff my face silly is all consuming! Could be the meds, but I like to think i'm stronger than that. Could be the big swim yesterday! Little and often today me thinks! Ahhgggggg there are…

Yesterday was a great way to finish the week. I did a 7km swim. 2 x 3km and 1km for warm up, easy between sets and cool down. First 3km in 47mins and second in 50 mins. Average pace 16 mins per 1km. Trying to reach 15mins per 1km but its early days as only been at it for 6 weeks. This brings my weekly distance to 18km in…

Have you tried mixing a tbsp of cocoa powder with 100g of Greek yogurt (I use FAGE Greek Yogurt as really think) and then sweeten to taste with whatever sweetener you use. Its like a chocolate creamy pud!!
-
Thank you for the lovely welcome and kind words!! Sounds like you are quite the machine in the pool! I have to admit, I feel much better now the weight is shifted. i am back down to where I was about 5 years ago!! Apart from being able to fit back in my cloths, I feel much better within myself! So....today's update. I have…

Well, your combined knowledge and advice send me on a slumber that lasted all night!! I feel sooooo much better not having to get up countless times! It was all down to that extra 500ml of water after training!! So a great big thank you to you all, my you all have a nice long pee free sleep!!!

I'm in!! Im trying to get down to 15% body fat, so aiming for about 64-65kg. I'm currently sitting at 68kg. I've lost 11.9kg in the last 3 months when I was diagnosed with a crappy autoimmune disease. They put me on predisolone and I slapped the contents of the fridge between two sluces of bread and my weight exploded!!…
