I have the 235 and love it. As far as battery life goes I am very happy with it. I ran a full marathon last weekend in 4:26:22 and the watch still had 57% battery left. I started with about 92% and I had Optical HR and GPS + GLONASS on. Also had the Garmin Foot pod and Tempe connected. The only thing I turned of was the…

@OrionSlayer Recovery is going great all ready got a couple of short easy runs in this week. As of now I only have a couple of 5K's on the schedule in April. Shooting for a PR there, both are flat and fast courses.

@OrionSlayer It was good! Everything was going great until about mile 21. Thats when I hit "The Wall". Luckily there was an aid station at 21 and I was able to get some solid food (banana and some pretzels). It took about anther mile to recover and I was able to come in under my goal time of 4:30. Chip time was 4:26:22.

I just got my rejection email about an hour ago ☹️

@OrionSlayer I actually returned my 230 and purchased the 235 ( same watch expect for the optical heart rate sensor on the 235). I decided that I wanted to give wrist based heart rate a try. I'm not sure it was worth the extra $80, but it sure is nice not having to deal with the HR strap. I will still connect my strap to…

Amazon as refurbished original Garmin Vivofits for $44.00.

Thanks for the input guys, I already purchased the V800 (i got a pretty good deal on Amazon) and used it for a couple for weeks. I got several runs in, including a 20 mile long run. The battery life seemed to be great as well as the GPS accuracy and I loved the recovery features in Polar Flow. However, I have already…

Polar V800 with Polar Flow app and Withings Scale. All of my training data gets dumped into Strava
-
I don't see why not. I would make sure to change the sport profile walk or skating something similar.

You are correct sir. However, Polar's gym link protocol does and it is used on the H7 and either A300 or V800. Also, Suunto's Smart Belt HRM records heart rate data while in the water and then transfers via Bluetooth to the Ambit3 or Ambit3 S later.

Good luck with the marathon! I run my first on March 6th. I just swapped from Polar M400 to The Garmin 230 and love it. My user name is the same on Garmin Connect as it here also.
-
Yep same here. Step count shows zero while earlier in the day it had the correct amount listed.
-
Full in March and 50K in April.

You could wear just the strap during your lifting session and when your ready to start the cardio portion just snap the transmitter in place and the the Loop will pick it up and start recording heart rate info. Then when your done be sure to unsnap the transmitter to let the Loop know to stop recording.

I run a lot and upload everything to Strava. Add me if you want. strava.com/athletes/566674

You can also create custom workouts in Polar flow and sync to either the M400 or V800. here is a link to one I made. https://flow.polar.com/training/target/5821896

They are not sticky at all. The fitting is made out of rubber and don't actually stick to your skin. When you put them in you have to twist them into place and the design of the fitting holds them there until you remove them.

I use a pair of Yurbuds Inspire 300s made by JBL. They are made just for cardio and workouts in general and are guaranteed to never fall out. I have never had a them fall out of my ear, but I have accidentally yanked the cord and pulled the earbud out of the rubber end piece that fits in your ear while the rubber piece…

Currently training for a marathon in March and my first Ultra (50K) in April. Feel free to ad me. Could definitely use some more running friends.. If anyone is on Strava feel free to add me there also. strava.com/athletes/566674

Really no need to change anything in MFP unless you wish to enable negative calorie adjustments in your diary settings.

I'm also on Strava. Add me if you want. strava.com/athletes/566674

Here is a link to a Strava activity that i did on the treadmill. You really need a watch that is capable of tracking cadence. I use either my Suunto Ambit2R with built in cadence sensor or the Polar M400 and connected Bluetooth Stride Sensor with GPS turned off. strava.com/activities/430988572

feel free to add me as well

I have a half this coming weekend. After that I will be focusing on a spring full marathon. Feel free to add me here as well as Strava. https://www.strava.com/athletes/566674

Fellow runners add me!!! I usually hit anywhere between 25-35 mile per week. Currently training for a fall half marathon and a spring full at the same time.

I vote for the Withings WiFi Scale. I have had mine 3 1/2 years and have zero problems with it and have only changed the batteries once.
