I'm with @eveandqsmom Try cutting something weekly. Like let's say, stop taking sugar this week. And after you get used to not having it anymore, try cutting white bread, and so on. Hope i was helpful :)

Sometimes if I'm not eating enough, I would more likely wake up feeling dizzy and have nausea. After all, this means that I starved myself, like ate only breakfast or so. I agree with @SugarySweetheart when eating carbs, they turn into glucose (sugar) which is released in the blood stream.
