  • Welcome from another MFP newbie.
  • @Christine_72 - I don't have any medical conditions (unless one counts hypothyroidism) but even a few strawberries and blueberries can kick me almost out of ketosis. But, if I'm somewhere where fruit and/or veggies is the better choice over carby sweets, I'm going for the fruits and veggies. ;)
  • Fat bombs don't have to be hard to make. Coconut oil, butter, cocoa, natural peanut butter, sweetener (I use Swerve), and maybe some cream. Heat it all up, mix well and pour it into a pan or little silicon molds I don't like complicated or lengthy recipes to begin with so I go for simple! I like Xylitol, too, but don't use…
  • I can't even find GreaseKit to uninstall it even though it supposedly was installed! I'll try the TamperMonkey, thanks.
  • @FIT_Goat I installed GreaseKit and it says it installed, but I can't find it anywhere. I tried the original script link but nothing happens. Oh well. I use MFP mostly on my iPhone anyway to log food. Thanks anyway.
  • I'm a sweet freak, too, but it has lessened eating keto. I keep fat bombs on hand and just a piece or two can hit the spot. If you like cheesecake, google low carb cheesecake muffins (the best is "the ugliest cheesecake"). Those will hit the spot, too, and you can make a ton of different varieties. I'd avoid the packaged…
  • That one worked! When I tried the first one and it went to mine, I thought wow she's having what I'm having! lol Such an easy concept and seeing it helped. Thank you ;)
  • I found it but have absolutely no idea what to do with it. I clicked the link and all it does is open in another tab (Mac, Safari).
  • @KnitOrMiss, the entry took me to my own diary for Jan 26! :)
  • @KnitOrMiss, I'm still trying to learn how to navigate where I've posted and just now seeing this! I'd love to see an example. :)
  • I've been doing low carb off and on for years but still not an expert (or else I wouldn't be here lol). There are some who will say keep eating the veggies, some will say you don't really need them. I love veggies, but don't eat a lot. I will sub veggies for fries if eating out and will always opt for veggies (and even…
  • Netrition has a good one called Joseph's. Doesn't give me the stomach issues that just recently trying Vermont Maid SF did. OMG!!! I quite literally lost my pancakes the other day after using that :s . I have seen the Walden Farms in the store but haven't tried it yet.
  • If you're not pregnant and just starting keto, it's probably just the initial water loss. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago mainly because of a prolapsed bladder but in my case it didn't cause me to go more often. BUT, I agree with KnitOrMiss on not holding your urine because of the bladder not emptying. With a…
  • Don't be discouraged!! I'm almost eight weeks in and have only lost six. With mentioning induction, it sounds like you're doing Atkins. It's not unusual for weight to fluctuate after induction is over as it's probably a lot of water loss. I'd never bank on losing 15 lbs. in two weeks no matter what plan is being done. I…
  • The hunger I feel when eating carbs as opposed to not is hugely noticeable. Carb hunger = kill for food NOW! Hunger on keto = minor inconvenience. Carbs definitely make me ravenous.
  • Am I the only noob who doesn't get it? lol I've seen something about the negative thing, but that kind of stuff flies over my head. :s How does adding the -1 take off just the bun? So what other kinds of stuff would this work on?
  • Just saw this thread and sent in a request to join. Now to go back and attempt over the next couple of days to read this thread!
  • I ditched the powdered stuff for the same reasons. I will keep a few packets of monk fruit in my purse if my only choices are Splenda, Equal, or Sweet-n-Low when eating out and I forgot my bottle of Stevia. I heard on a Jimmy Moore podcast that Splenda was actually a science experiment gone wrong, aka chemicals!!!!
  • I have full fat Fage yogurt as my afternoon snack at work everyday. I mix some Crystal Light into it. It's filling and gives me something sweet. I don't know about the probiotic stuff other than I've heard unless you get your probiotics in the cold section is a waste of money. Can't remember where I heard that (probably a…
  • Keto Clarity is an awesome book! Along with the other sites mentioned, check out Linda's Low Carb - you'll never run out of stuff to try.
  • @KnitOrMiss, it's mainly low carb Cheesecake Muffins that I bake. I do want to try the I Can't Believe It's Not Cornbread and the mock Cheddar Bay Biscuits but haven't done them yet. Luckily I don't do any real baking any more (other than around the holidays) because if it's a chocolate cake I need to make, I'd be found…
  • Interesting thread as I just posted this question in my feed. Wall. Whichever it's called lol. I think I'm going to start doing this as BPC's usually hold me pretty good especially if I'm focused on a project.
  • I have no idea if my brain sees any sweeteners as carbs or not. But I did make the decision awhile back to ditch any powdered sweeteners and only use liquid Stevia. I prefer Swerve, Erythritol, and Xylitol (watch the pets, though) to bake with. Using any of these don't seem to interfere with ketosis for me.
  • So sorry for your loss! Condolences to you and your family.
  • Hello everyone. Not new to keto or "dieting" in general, but I am new to MFP. I've had the app for awhile but haven't used it much nor have I ever posted. I have a very difficult time losing weight even on keto, but I feel good on it and have tried many times to make it a lifestyle. Recently learned I am hypothyroid and…
