I think it may be time to start calling him your ex-boyfriend

Thank you all so much :) Your compliments and words of encouragement mean so much!

Thanks so much :) It's getting harder and harder to stay motivated, sometimes it feels like it's all drained out of me!

First, let me say WAY TO GO :) You've got choices when it comes to the people in your life. Maybe they don't realize how much their words sting, they may think it's motivating you when they say those negative things….you can always talk to them and let them know. Give them a choice--it stops or the relationships change.…

...I have the opposite problem, my torso is relatively slender...my arms and legs are where I carry a lot of weight. Like to the point friends have commented on it. I still do weights at the gym but pretty much worry constantly that I am just going to make them bigger by adding muscle under the fat.

Feel free to add me as a friend and look at my diary :) I work Sunday-Wednesday and those days, eat breakfast and lunch at work. I try to make my meals the night before, that way I am not tempted in the morning to throw in whatever sounds good while I am hungry in the morning lol

My goal is 1200 but you're free to look at my diary :)

My physician told me that body fat percentage was more accurate and important than BMI. That the percentage breaks it down into blood, bone, muscle, organs and fat...while BMI is just based off your weight/height and a formula. They also advised that where your weight is carried is super important too, for example,…

First, way to go on your weight loss so far! I consider myself a "chronic dieter"--I've tried (and successfully failed) at most all 'fad' diets. That said, I finally had to figure out (with the help of my physician) what worked for ME. I always felt like I couldn't live without a cheat day and living a life that was…

First of all--You can totally do this, you already ARE :) Just a few questions: how many calories a day are you eating? Are you limiting anything in particular (sugar, carbs, fats)? How much are you walking?

Thanks so much for your response! I don't have a trainer--that may be something for me to consider. I am going to add the stiff-leg deadlifts to my list of strength training exercises. I do the stair climber on the slowest setting, there's no way I could do it at a moderate pace...and I limit it to between 5-10 minutes. I…

sweet and spicy sweet potato bites: heat oven to 425, cube potatoes in bite sized (think one inch by one inch) pieces, in a ziploc bag combine 2 tsp chili powder, a pinch of red cayenne pepper (or more than a pinch, depending on how spicy you want it), 1 tbsp packed brown sugar, 1/4 tsp cumin....add the potatoes and shake,…

I wear Spanx ALL the time...even to the gym. I ate all my calories one day in the form of bacon and eggs. All. Of. Them. Won't lie, it was pretty glorious.

I started my journey at 315 pounds so you can totally do this :) Your resting metabolic rate is probably somewhere between 2100 and 2400 calories a day, that is what your body burns on its own--just being alive. In order to drop the pounds, there has to be a caloric deficit. The greater the deficit, the more weight falls…
