I run 3 mi twice a week and 1 long run of 5-6 miles once a week. I'm trying to focus on increasing my distance instead of speed (I'm kinda slow). Congrats on starting C25K.. that's where I started as well. Best of luck!

Brine chicken overnight in dill pickle juice, then pat dry, dunk in egg, then seasoned panko, and bake. It sounds crazy, but the pickle brine makes for really favorable, tender chicken. Not "the" healthiest, but not bad and really yummy.

I started with c25K myself, and it was great for getting started, but somewhere along the way the weekly increase was just too much for me so I sketched out a plan of my own (listen to your body) As for strength training I got a kettlebell and started a short circuit I found online. So far so good.. Good Luck!

Today I had oatmeal (with sugar *gasp*), some green goodness juice, grilled chicken and quinoa, wheat crackers & colby, and a big ole heaping handful of dove chocolates >:) Hey... if it fits... ;)

I saved my calories today for a full-fat legit bacon cheeseburger >:) . It was heavenly! Now to the gym.. o:)

As another poster said: getting down to 135-140 safely might be a little bit of a stretch. However, it's not impossible. Depending on how well you stick to your calorie deficit and what form/how frequent you exercise it's definitely possible.. you'd need to lose around 1.5 lbs a week to make your goal. You CAN do it.. if…

In college, my now-husband lived with a group of guys in a house that they described themselves as "haunted" everyone knew that the basement was definitely a creepy place to be and most everyone that lived there had had an "experience" of some kind.. There were a few times that I would come over and if I'd arrived early, I…

I am currently 5'4 @ 139 lbs. My 6 week goal is to get to 135lbs through a calorie deficit and exercise. I currently run 2.5-3 miles every other day, and I've recently started a short kettle bell circuit on the other days... so I hope to keep that up as well. Best of luck everyone!

Chicken or Tuna Salad with multigrain crackers with a fruit or veggie. Oatmeal with walnuts and dried cinnamon apples, & maybe a banana. Turkey pinwheels and hummus with carrots or pretzel chips. Hard-boiled eggs with fruit and veggies. I really need to get back to packing lunch myself :( .. I used to decide on 2 of these…

I'd been wearing the same ole ill-fitting jeans for a while hoping not to invest in new ones too soon since I'm not all the way to my goal yet.. I finally broke down and bought some & ordered 2 sizes down.. The new jeans are quite loose :) I could have easily went down another size :D

I've always been a numbers person, but I hope I can see more obvious changes soon and care less about the #.

Lol! That's how I feel when people talk about weighing daily... I can't handle that kind of drama!

I'm up for some new friends!

Hi! I'm Amber! I'm a newbie runner, having started about 2 months ago.. I ran my first 5k last weekend and have already signed up for another for the first week of August. This group seemed like a perfect fit! I'm ready to keep myself accountable and better my time on this next 5k.

I know how you feel! I'd lost 30 lbs before I went back to school and kept a FT job... the lack of time contributed to poor food choices, and NO exercise.. I gained it all back +1. That one lb started a fire in my belly and I'm back at it! Feel free to add me and congrats on your graduation!
