I am so jealous of you right now....

I love Abel James! I listen to his podcast weekly... he's had some really great guests in the past including Jimmy Moore, Michelle Tam (NomNomPaleo) and Chaz Branham (keto bodybuilder). I started watching because I'm a huge fan of his, but I do find it hard to watch sometimes. Some of the trainers are straight up out of…

Because my brother who is into bodybuilding used to tell me how weak I was while simultaneously grabbing my arms and shaking them like noodles.

Are you weighing yourself 4 times one-after-another? If not, a 4lb difference is entirely possible. Heck, my dinners usually weigh a lb on their own!

Do you have a yoga mat? I saw a girl using one yesterday at the gym and thought it a pretty neat idea.

Once upon a time... I could smash a 4-pack of Oreo Ice cream sandwiches.

Someone posted about Fage about a week or so ago and now I'm hooked on the stuff! Pricey though. I buy Rachel's or Yeo Valley when it's not on sale. Full fat, plain - with powdered peanut butter or sliced apple and cinnamon. My husband likes it with lemon curd.

I find them to be a bit bitter, but I love the smell! It's almost boozy and super chocolatey.... I've used this recipe before with great results: http://andloveittoo.com/coconut-butter-cacao-nib-bars-candida-fighting-paleo-vegan-sugar-free-whole30-acd-gfcf-and-more/ Reminds me of cookies and cream bars!

No worries! And you can always test the height beforehand with an empty bar. They should be just below you when you break parallel.

Not sure if this helps, but here's a video of me failing at squats... It's not as scary as you think as long as you have the safeties in place and at the right height. instagram.com/p/BAo1H-jzPL9/

Last Sunday, the gym was rammed full of people... at 9am! I couldn't believe it. I usually go at that time on a Sunday because nobody is there and I have the run of the place but it was as if everyone had the same idea - come in early and beat the crowd. Anyway, after warming up I made my way over to the power rack to…

Maybe stop telling him there's almond flour in it?

I love them! Though I will say they are definitely not a direct swap for pasta.... They don't really absorb sauce like normal pasta does (even when you dry fry them for ages!), but they work alright with creamy, cheesy sauces that stick to the noodles. I find they work best in Asian cuisine where rice or glass…

@clh72569 Nice prep! All your bentos look amazing! This is my non so pretty contribution... I'm moving house so most of my stuff has been packed away. Egg salad with chicken bites and Gouda babybels!

I've been doing something similar with fage, peanut flour and a little truvia... Tastes like whipped peanut butter!

@ettaterrell, dry fry 200g zero carb noodles until desired texture (I use the fettuccine shaped ones from MyProtein.com, but there are lots of brands you could use). In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms in butter . If you're using uncooked shrimp, add when mushrooms are about halfway done and cook until just pink. Wilt in…

Zero carb pasta with mushrooms, spinach and prawns.

@Sumiblue you are a continual inspiration!

or low fat peanut butter? Blech...

I do about 10-15 minutes of walking on a treadmill before any workout, just to get my blood moving. If i'm lifting weights, I'll usually do some dynamic stretching as well as some light sets before building up to my working weight. Basically, anything to get the kinks out... you don't want to feel stiff or fatigued before…

Haven't posted here in a while, but this thread saved my skin the other day when I forgot my diary with all my lifts! I was able to look up my last workout from my phone and figure out my weights! Sunday... (this was a very good day for me!) 15 min. warmup Squats: 72.5kg -5x5 Deadlift: 75kg - 1x5 OHP: 25kg - 5x5…

Tuna, sardines, eggs, ground beef, pork chops & chicken thighs are all great (inexpensive) protein. Frozen vegetables are good to have too as they are convenient and don't go off as quickly as fresh veg (no waste). You can also buy meat that's on sale and freeze it. I often buy meat that's been marked down because it's…

I started out with lifting gloves.... I got callouses anyway, and my grip strength suffered. It was also one more piece of kit I had to remember when I went to the gym. When you get into lifting really heavy and then forget them it's a real drag.... I was deadlifting around 70kg and forgot my gloves one day and it felt…

sliced cucumber is good for topping with crumbly feta or a slice of cheddar...

What do you typically have in your smoothies? I like to use frozen strawberries, spinach and unsweetened almond milk. It's not too sweet and it's a good way to get a huge hit of leafy greens first thing in the morning.

Could have been a different variety of avocado, or it could have been picked too early. I know when I buy an avocado out of season, the flavour and texture are dramatically different. Like, they don't actually ripen... they just get spongy then go off.

Season with garlic powder, chili powder, paprika and cumin. Serve on a bed of lettuce, shredded purple cabbage, avocado, diced cucumber, tomato and a sprinkling of chopped onions. Add a dollop of sour cream and garnish with cilantro.

Today's lunch: baby spinach, avocado and wild salmon!
