sports/yoga backpack needed!!!
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good backpack that I could use for my gym stuff, but that is also able to carry a yoga mat? I was thinking maybe something like this: https://www.thenorthface.com/shop/borealis I'm not sure if the bungees would be secure enough to hold the mat though... Any suggestions would be…

Dried "Yam" Vermicelli
I was in my local Asian supermarket yesterday and noticed that they had packs of dried yam noodles. The ingredients and nutritional information were not in English, but my first thought is that they might be the same as Shirataki noodles? Has anyone seen or tried these before, and if so... how do you use them?

Too weak for StrongLifts?
Hello!!! I have just started the program using the recommended weights (modified slightly, as I am using the women's Olympic bar instead of the men's), but I am struggling massively with the OHP. I can't even lift the empty bar. :s Should I use a standard bar instead? Machine? Dumbells? Should I adjust my other weights…

advice needed for new goal weight
I'm a 5"10 150lb(ish) female. I've been focused on losing weight ever since I moved to the UK and gained 25lbs in about 3 months (too many pies and ales). I've lost most of the weight through diet and exercise and I'm quite close to my goal weight, but I don't really see the results I've been hoping for. I would like to…

Thyroid? Allergy? Or something else...?
I just got back from my holiday in Toronto. While I was there I did not track my food in a diary, and generally allowed myself to eat and drink whatever I wanted. I probably gained about 10 lbs in 10 days. But I figured that once a year I could treat myself. And besides, I would be walking for several hours at a time, and…

Grass-fed butter in Canada...?
I'm going on holiday tomorrow and just realized that I can't get Kerrygold in Toronto! Does anybody know of any other brands of grass-fed dairy, and where is it available? Also, I'm packing snacks for the trip... any suggestions for plane-friendly foods would be appreciated. :)

First world problems
What is with the British bringing in sweets to work every single day? I miss Canada where we just hoard our candy in our desks like normal people... :p Today there are 3 cakes, 6 boxes of cookies, 3 chocolate bars, 2 bags of chocolate covered fruit/peanuts and a family sized bag of peanut butter m&ms. There are only about…

shopping
Where do you shop for health foods and supplements? I moved from Canada to the UK last fall and I'm still trying to figure out the best place to shop for stuff like protein powder, apple cider vinegar, mct oil etc. I shop occasionally at Holland and Barrett, but I find them really expensive. I've also ordered from Goodness…

bulletproof coffee FAIL
Yesterday I tried bulletproof coffee for the first time (well, bulletproof tea really as I don't have a coffee maker at home). It looked and smelled amazing... so I banged back very quickly and almost immediately I got the feeling that I was going to **** myself. For the next 3-4 hours I was incredibly nauseated and had a…

foods you didn't think had carbs?

Saboteurs?
We've all had to deal with them at one point or another. From well-intention friends and family to those that purposely try to undermine your efforts.... How do you all deal with those people in your life that consciously or unconsciously try to steer you off course?
