I have this exact same problem. it is so frustrating. I put mine down to my age as I am 55,female, but even if I saw 1lb a month come off I would be happy, I am circuit training 4 times a week and on top of that power walking with a 10lb weight vest 3 times for 90 mins yet still I weigh the same. counting calories, weighing…

i have worked shifts and now permanent nights. I believe the only way to count easily is to just think midnight to midnight and count the calories in that period. works for me anyway. i lost just over 2 stone when i started that. Also, I used to "reward" myself for working nights, " I will just have a treat....etc etc"…

@MeanderingMammal .... when i say walking, i walk to the beat of 120 bpm music. very fast. would that not rise in a meaningful way ? it isnt a little stroll to the shop. my heartbeat remains steady at approx 120bpm and if i slow or increase to check it, it does change quickly. or go uphill it will rise to 140 ish. i am…

I have a hrm. I am confused as to what "steady state cardio" is. would that be walking and running ?. I use my hrm as a motivational tool really and only believe half the burn anyway. If i do a bob harper dvd which is fairly difficult and is cardio and weights my hrm records about 500 ish, which I dont think would be too…

love Jillian Michaels. Recommend them all.
-
@SleeplessinBerlin .. I am doing Jillian Michaels currently and bought T25 a long time ago, and I intend doing that next. How would you compare the two. Is T25 a few gears up from JM. Interested to hear your comments. @veliia . Try the Bob Harper workouts that are readily available on youtube. Excellent and tough, good…

i have most of her dvd's. as far as i have ever seen it is 6 days on and one rest day per week. I have never seen her say to miss a day. If so, how would it be ripped in 30 etc it would be ripped in 60 as you are doing it every other day and the programme is level 1 for 10 days, level 2 for 10 days etc

yes, its great, quite challenging if you are new to weight bearing exercise. My strength has improved dramatically (for me). I am currently on week 8. There are a few threads of people completing this programme at the moment. You only do the same exercises for 2 weeks before moving on, so it never gets boring. There is a…

@hmrey76 . I repeated week 6 too, I have just started week 7 now it is pigeon push ups, so i am back using my knees. but so much stronger than the start.
-
I use my heart rate monitor, or mfp estimates it for you. I am lead to believe that it is all estimates and not accurate so I only work on half the figures my HRM gives me. I also just work out at home.

midnight to midnight too. even on rest days.

I have had this programme for perhaps a couple of years. I dont think that I was fit enough to complete it. However I am happy to say I am fitter now. I am going to do this one when I have completed Jillian Michaels Body Revolution so very interested in any comments. I love Shaun T. I get sucked into his informercials in…

Highly recommend Bob Harper. Try cardio revolution, and any of the other to be fair. Most of them are on Youtube

@lalajka .. I feel your pain  You can definitely tell it is phase 2. keep going, we can finish this. I can see a bit of difference now, and I feel stonger. The most difficult tricep for me is the one in crab. I find the other one were you hold your shoulder ok.

@veganbaum perfect. i can see my confusion now. I now understand i need to pick one and why. Thanks to everyone, and no one made me sound like an idiot  . I once posed a question on sugar... it didnt end well, there were people all around the world arguing ! I left them to it

Thanks for all replies. You have made it more understandable for me. I am calorie counting using a HRM and whilst I record all, I only really believe half. I did a 2 hour walk yestserday, for example, full on as fast as I could to a beat to keep me in check. According to my HRM i burned 750. I thought that was too high a…

just in from a night shift. It is snowing in the UK. Just going to sleep, then start week 5 finally after illness. Hoping to keep going now until week 12. Cant decide whether to do Body Shred or T25 next. I have never done T25, despite having the dvd's for a couple of years. Body Shred has not been out long in the UK. I…

thank you.

we all seem to have become ill in week 3 :)
-
I think it depends how fit you were when you started. I think if you were reasonably fit, you can pick up where you left off after 3 weeks of being ill. This is what I did, I had 2 weeks off with illness, had got as far as week 4. So when I was well enough, I picked up week 4 again this week, and found it to be ok. If you…

I am finally back on track after illness, i am just completing week 4 finally. anyone else have problems with that step through into cobra move (think its cobra.. you get into plank , swing leg through to hands then arms in the air ) i just cant do it, so i tend to plank for the 30 seconds.... any tips.
-
Glad to be back though ladies.
-
finally back to it after having to take 2 weeks off due to illness i am continuing with week 3 onwards. started on Monday Still only one flipping military push up, just cannot do 2
-
I have decided to repeat last week, so I will be repeating week 3 @dmegan012 listen you your body, it may be better to start from the beginning, how strong do you feel. ?
-
Thank you for the good wishes.
-
my stomach bug returned, so i am going to be sensible and take this whole week off and repeat week 3 from monday. i decided i was being stupid trying to battle on
-
I started week 3 today, well yesterday(I am on nights in the uk). It was a step up from week 2 definitely, but I suppose that is the point. I am enjoying it, I definitely feel stronger and have gone up 1kg in my dumbells to 4kg now. how are you doing with it. I got to week 7 last year before I stopped and went on to do…
-
Week 3, workout 4. It is slightly harder. I couldnt do the plank'os (i think that is what she said) I could only do a couple. Still only able to do one military push up, i tried 2, not happening
-
Week 2 completed. Starting week 3 tomorrow. also did a walk for 90 mins. According to my HRM I burned 730 calories. I was striding out as fast as I could to some fitness music, but I find that burn hard to believe. I will eat half back, or maybe 300.
