Your not alone. I had my thyroid removed 3 weeks ago and I feel like a giant magnent that walks around collecting pounds its flipping annoying and mentally I can't get off the crazy train either.....grrr

Are you wanting to just walk/Run or are you working towards a No Walking Run? At some point if your trying to steady run your going to have to increase your non-stop 1 mile run at least by 10% if you are happy with walk/run method your fine.

If your legs hurt stop running and eat a healthy diet (no process stuff)until your legs feel better. You said your doing weights & running 5x a week so when do you take a rest day or 2? If you don't watch out your going to have and injury that could leave without exercise, been their done that...and its not pretty

Don't reduce your calories to 1000 its not healthy and your quick attempt to weight lose will eventually back fire and you might end up heavier, do it the right way measure and weigh your food and limit some if not all junk foods and eat the recommended cals from MFP and see how that goes.
