I hate that society makes depression/anxiety so taboo to talk about. I can tell you that talking to someone..your wife, a counselor, religious leader if you choose...can help so much. It's a very lonely journey but if you can open up and talk about how you're feeling, I really think that will help. I can't give you advice…

I leave the house at 6am to get to work for 7. Work until 4:30 and then head home. I've been stopping at the next town over from my house after work to walk for 2 miles. I change into my workout clothes before I even leave work so I'm not tempted to just "go home for five minutes and chill" since in the past, those five…

How is everyone doing? I know it's only Day 2 for me but I managed to stay off the scale today so that's a plus...lol.

A group of us are trying to not weigh in the whole month of May. Join us and see if the angst you're feeling about "only" losing one pound eases when you're not constantly thinking of your next weigh in. community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/comment/32360976#Comment_32360976

I take ibuprofen for the cramps and an hour later, I'm good to go. Not sure about which exercises would help but I know that if I am feeling cruddy, I don't want to go out walking so I nip the cramps in the bud before I even think about stepping foot outside my door.

Thank you ladies..and thanks for the friend request @becubbage !

I'm definitely going to log each day. I'd like to keep this on the honor system if everyone's game for that. Like I'd mentioned, I did weigh in this morning. Darn AF this week so I stayed the same but at least it wasn't a gain! My friend is out of the challenge for the foreseeable future. She was just diagnosed with…

I get depressed when I get on the scale in the morning and then at night and it's different..higher...ugh. But I know that's in my head and that's the main reason I'm tossing the scale after Monday. I'll have my husband hide it on me.

Hmm... see I'm ok with not overdoing food, and I've tried to be a bit more conscious of my drinking but it beer were cheese, Imagine one night it'd be like 'I'll just have one piece of cheese, I've had a hard week at work' and then 'Oh my partners having cheese too, I'll guess I'll have another piece of cheese' then 'My…

I've given up white wine since taking this journey (April 11th was my first day) and I find myself sleeping better and feeling better too. I'm in! Now I need to have a dry May from cheese. I love cheese but cheese loves my butt.

Just for today... I will log every bite...every morsel..every crumb. I will walk after work for at least a 1/2 hour. I will savor the day and know that I'm doing this for myself.

2 eggs over easy and a piece of whole grain toast...

There are always going to be spiteful people in the world. It's a poor testament to THEIR character, not yours. I know that I want to do this not only for myself, but for all the haters I dealt with in high school (22 years ago..lol) and for the random strangers I think judge me for being unhealthy and overweight. I won't…

Hi everyone! I love that there’s a thread for us “40+”ers. I’ll be 41 in June (still feel mentally like a 30 year old but age is just a number, right? ;) A bit about me, I’m a Massachusetts mom to two kids – an almost 15 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. I also just got married to my long time love last October.…

Cop.. ;)

I'm so glad you're taking time to get mentally healthy (and physically too...I'm intrigued by "hot yoga"). I was in an abusive situation with my son's father...more emotionally abusive than anything else but at the time, I couldn't see it. For what it's worth, I'm proud of you for sticking to your guns and giving yourself…

My 15 year old daughter told me she was proud of me for working so hard to get healthy. High praise from your teenager? Priceless!

Invite please? I haven't posted on this thread yet but that's probably because it's brought up some bad memories for myself. I'd really like to follow and offer my support! :)
