Thanks for all the thoughtful input and different strategies! I will have fun and some indulgences but we do a lot of trips (lucky I know), so I need to stay on track at some level.

Hmm sounds unanimous. I am a heart on my sleeve share everything with my friends kind of person, but I think this is sound advice - to focus on my own journey and avoid negative feedback by not sharing in the first place!
