  • I would say increased endurance, increased strength, and just generally seeing less of me! I look better in my clothes than I have in a long time :)
  • Weight loss is not strictly linear - you'll have ups and downs! Your attitude towards overeating will determine your long-term success, so try to commit to a better day tomorrow and keep plugging away :)
  • I second the meal planning. I normally weigh out all my fruit and meats and label how many grams are in each serving that way it's done for the week. If I am having any grains, for example, I'll weigh it out the night before so it's really only my breakfast I'm weighing every single day. I tend to be really obsessive over…
  • I developed sciatica after playing roller derby and sustaining injuries from the sport. I am only able to get back into a decent exercise routine now after two years.. It does flare up from time to time but mostly it bothers me when I haven't stretched or warmed up properly. There are some really great stretches online -…
  • I've been staying away from processed gluten-free foods (with the exception of pasta as an occasional treat) and have been instead focusing on eating foods that are naturally gluten-free (such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, some dairy, meats). Instead of having pasta, I'll make zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash. Rather…
  • Ripped in 30 and the 30 Day Shred are amazing! Just increase your dumb bell weights as you go for more of a challenge :)
  • 24 so just under the wire ;)
  • I'm eating between 1000-1200 calories a day, sometimes less since I'm on medications that make me very nauseated. I don't typically eat back exercise calories either and log everything meticulously, down to the last gram using a food scale. To those saying eat less, I don't see how I could eat less and have adequate…
  • I am currently at 174.2 pounds coming down from 205.4. I guess to a certain extent I'm expecting quick loss now which I know isn't super reasonable. Also trying to make sure my weight training is allowing me to build muscle as well so I could be gaining slightly in muscle mass. Thanks everyone :)
  • I've been gaining and loosing the same 3 pounds for the past few weeks, should have clarified that. Wondering if perhaps eating at maintenance for a week or two is a decent idea?
  • If you do some core strengthening work with cardio for fat burning you might lose an inch or two if your macros are spot on. Also make sure you have a bra that properly fits (I know this might sound silly and/or obvious but it will help)!
  • I am a counselling student and have lived with my own depression and anxiety for a few years now and am managing it rather well without medication. I have some pointers and tips if you're interested: -Since you're a stay-at-home mom you can try to incorporate fun exercise into your daily routine with your kiddos; since…
  • Added you ladies :) I'm 24, 5' 6" and am down almost 31 pounds with another 34 to go! For anyone I couldn't/didn't add, feel free to add me :)
  • I'm with you! I also dance burlesque and want to feel better when I perform. With an show in the next 2 weeks I am 3 pounds away from my lightest weight in about 2-3 years.. Hoping to lose those few pounds! I'd be pretty excited to celebrate onstage :)
  • 25 with 28 pounds gone, about 35 more to go :) Feel free to add me and chat, I'm always looking for buddies :)
  • I miss regular pasta and big macs if I'm being perfectly honest lol
  • I have no date for my wedding as of yet (we have a tentative date) so I'm sweating for the wedding too :) I started at 205 on December 28, 2015 and as of this morning weighed in at 182. It's slow going but it's healthier that way! Doing simple things like getting adequate sleep and drinking more water will make a big…
  • I've been diagnosed for less than a year and am doing well with the transition. I agree that eating out is hard! I've been "glutened" a few times so I try to cook most of my own meals and save going out for special occasions. I have some great recipes I can share :) Feel free to add me and I can message them!
  • I love my FitBit, too! I'm using the Charge HR and think it's the bees knees. The heart rate function allows for more accurate calorie burn readings which is always helpful! I find it gives me motivation to reach my step goal and reminds me to stay hydrated.
  • So true! Increasing protein and fat intake and decreasing carb intake can be very helpful. I get discouraged sometimes when I look at my macros and see such a high percentage of carbs but when I realize it's from fruit and vegetable sources I don't panic as much.
  • Since being diagnosed with Hashis 12 years ago I was diagnosed with Celiac disease as well back in July. Apparently the two co-occur pretty frequently. The whole gluten free fad right now is kind of misleading. I've done a lot of reading on gluten free diets and realistically if you're not Celiac I wouldn't waste my time.…
  • I'm 5'6" and in high school looked and felt fabulous at around 135 pounds. I started at 205 pounds on December 28, currently at 184 pounds. I am breaking up my goals into smaller ones - First goal is achieved (lose 20 pounds). The next goal will be 170 since this weight represents the smallest I will have been in 5 years.…
  • I suffer from hypothyroidism (with a suspected cause of Hashimoto's since I have co-occurring Celiac disease) and have for just over 12 years (was diagnosed at 12 years old). My main symptoms were substantial weight gain (over a short period of time), irritability, extreme sensitivity to cold, and extreme fatigue. I have…
  • Me! I'm down 21.4 pounds since the new year (though I had started from a higher weight than I was the last time I used myfitnesspal so it doesn't register as that much) and am hoping to lose a total of 65 pounds so I am over 30% of the way there! It's very slow coming off since I have two autoimmune diseases that affect my…
  • I started burlesque dancing last year for fun but recently have been performing at local bars. I have my third show in a few weeks and will be appearing in 2 numbers! Good luck :)
  • Anybody know how to make a Fitbit flex more accurate? Very rarely does derby register as an activity, unless I'm jumping, transitioning, or shuffling by stepping through. I typically burn about 400-500 calories per two hour practice, since I'm only logging the actual time I spent skating.
