If you're interested in joining a group of others doing NS, check this one out: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/105493-nutrisystem-group-users There are others, too. I lead a group and you can PM me if you're interested in learning about it and possibly joining it. Good luck!!

NS has worked well for tens of thousands of people. Sorry it didn't work for you. Saying 90% of the food is gross is an extreme exaggeration. There are a few items I don't care for, but more than 90% of it is quite good. I'm on the plan where I get mostly frozen entrees and I really enjoy them. It is "real food." Some of…

I lead a group of NS members. We're called Dump That Rump. :) If you'd like t learn more about our group, just PM me and I'll let you know the guidelines (it's a challenge group, but we're mostly about support and encouragement; the challenge part just adds a little fun) so you can decide if you'd like to join us. :)

I've been on NS since early in March and have lost 33 pounds so far. The meals you add water to can be made a lot better by bulking them up with veggies. I put the meal, chicken broth, broccoli slaw, diced carrots, and diced zucchini in a lunch crock and they're SO much better. There are a few groups of NS members here on…

Hope you like it! :) I love the little skinny ones--they get really crunchy. My daughter's started complaining that the house smells all "stinky." LOL. I just tell her to deal with it. Ha!

I love asparagus fries. I spread the spears on a cookie sheet and spray them with Pam then sprinkle them with McCormick's vegetable seasoning. Bake at 400 for 12 to 20 minutes depending on how thick the spears are. I have some practically every day. I also slice up bell peppers (yellow and orange are my favorites) and…

You add "power fuels" and "smart carbs" t as well as vegetables to your NS meals. How many PFs and SCs depends on how much you have to lose, your age, your activity level, etc. Most add three PFs and one SC. But you have mre than 100 to lose or are very active or tall, you'd add four PFs and three SCs. Here's what my…

There are a few NS groups here on MFP. If you're interested in joining and talking with other NS members to help you along the way, just send me a PM, and I'll help you find them. :) It helps so much to have others to support you along the way. Also, if you haven't placed your first order yet, let me know that and I can…

You can do this! I'm 56 and have lost 28 pounds in just over 3 months (started on March 7). My original goal was 52 pounds, so I have 24 to go. I'll re-evaluate as I get closer to goal. Weight loss may be a little slower when we're over 50, but you can still accomplish your weight-loss goals! Hang in there!

This past week, I lost 4.4 pounds in 2 days. It's rare I lose more than 1.5 in an entire week. :)

Cruising is my vacation of choice--absolutely love it! I've actually lost weight on cruises! Not much, but a couple of pounds. The cruise I did the best on, I ate at the buffet for breakfast and lunch each day. I liked being able to control what was on my plate. For dinner, I ordered off what they called the "spa menu"…

I can relate to knee pain! I had total knee replacement surgery just over three months ago. I was in excruciating pain prior to the surgery and have absolutely no pain in my knee now! It'll still be healing for another six months, but I'm well on my way. You sound almost apologetic that you don't do more than walk, but…

You don't actually have a "calorie count." Non-starchy vegetables are unlimited, so most vegetables commonly found in salads would be unlimited. I log my unlimited vegetables because that's how I make sure I get all my veggie servings in and I also like to know exactly what I eat. If by calorie count, you're thinking your…

This is going to be a long post, so I apologize ahead of time. But, I've been where you are, and I just wanted to share some of feelings about this topic. I know how frustrating it can be when you feel you aren't losing quickly enough. This is my second time on NS, and the first time I lost 56 pounds in five months (total…

I get the Pure Protein shakes at Walmart.

There's really no wrong way--whatever works for you. :) Set yourself up for success in whatever way you need to. I don't plan ahead like that. When I get up in the morning, I see what sounds good to me--it's usually a frozen cinnamon roll or oatmeal. :) During the week I have lunch bars and raw veggies every day and I keep…

Does when you start your period have anything to do with it? I've never heard that before but it's never come up either. I didn't start mine until 14 and was perimenopausal at 39...
-
I agree with the advice to find another doctor! That list of symptoms is not something you should be going through, and especially at your age! I was perimenopausal at 39 and had horrible hot flashes for hours on end and mood swings. I'm 56 and I finally no longer have the hot flashes--the mood swings ended when I started…

It's different for everyone. I'm 6'1" and have lost 24.5 pounds and people are just now starting to notice.

Actually, Prozac is generally associated with weight gain, not loss, as are most SSRIs. Wellbutrin is considered the most apt to help with loss. I used to be a therapist and that was one of things I took into consideration (the therapeutic benefits being the most important, of course) before recommending a medication. Was…

Taste in food is subjective. I find most of the NS food to be pretty good. Much better than Lean Cuisine. It's easy to tell someone to simply count calories and watch their portions, but that's not easy for everyone to do and some need help from a plan like NS. Nothing wrong with that.
-
Precisely. No plan is magic--once you reach goal, you can't just go back to eating the way you did that got you to the point of needing the plan without gaining.

Forgot to take a photo of last night's dinner before adding veggies and additional protein to it, so took a photo of the NS portion of my breakfast (also had fresh pineapple and a latte). This is one of the frozen meals--just popped in the microwave fro 20 seconds. It's quite good. :)

There are many studies the support drinking water--especially prior to eating a meal--and conclude that it does aid in weight loss. It's no magic bullet, but as others have said, it certainly doesn't hurt. Eight eight-ounce glasses in a day isn't that much, and I drink much more than that even when I'm not in weight-loss…

Thanks, Ashlee! Happy walking, everyone! :)

Ashlee, will you post this in the DTR group? I'd like to continue but often forget to check in here for it. :)
