I'm 5'2, 116 pounds and I maintain on 2000-2200 but I can lose around 1kg a week on 1200 cals, (but I do cheat weekends so it's a much slower pace)

But doesn't processed food take less energy to process? That being said, you don't absorb 100% of the calories you intake, so you may absorb say 80 calories worth of donuts out of 100, and 65 calories worth of carrots since they are harder to digest.

For me, I diet on weekdays, and the weekends are off, because people generally lose weight during weekdays and gain some on weekends. As long as the overall trend goes down, you're good. I tend to eat really unhealthy on Friday and Saturday (cheat days) and healthier on Sunday but as much of whatever as I want, and junk…
