  • Fabulous, thank you! :)
  • Ugh. Confession time: I've had three days of not as restricted calorie counting as I'm used to. There's part of me that could just fall back into old ways quite easily (especially as I fear a gain on the scales this week) but there's an even bigger part of me that's going to wake up tomorrow and get back on that dieting…
  • I've lost 35 lbs and can't really see much difference. I can see it in my clothes because they're looser, and I've had to go down a size but actually looking at my body in the mirror, I can't see anything. Other people have noticed, though. As long as the scales say I'm heading in the right direction, I'm heading in the…
  • I'm 5'4 and my goal weight is something under 140, but it's not so much the number that I'm concerned about, I just want to be happy in my skin, whatever that weight ends up being. Does that sound contrary?? Everything I've lost so far is epic, but I've still got like 50 lbs to lose. (Although I've already lost 35 lbs…
  • Thank you @callitlikeiseeit you're similar to me, though I do only 30 mins cardio maybe 5 days a week and I do strength for 45-60 mins 3-4 times a week!
  • @FitGuyNorCo I do cardio! :) I do 5-10 mins warm up on cross trainer, then do a further 20 mins on cross trainer or treadmill afterwards. I also do a weekly spin class - which I love!!! And on days when I don't gym we have. A treadmill at home I use! Working to be able to go faster on cross trainer and actually jog the…
  • Can I ask what you mean by resistance training? I'm currently doing a plan my trainer has made up, I've only just started going to the gym so it's all a learning curve!
  • Ahhh I see, cool! That's a bit of a bonus then as I'd like to build my muscles not be losing them!
  • Good for you @hollandoats. I've been craving pizza for weeks and it was so worth giving in! It's my birthday next week, too, and am planning to have a cheat day then make up for it the rest of the week. It helps my birthday's Monday haha as then I've got 6 days to get back on track before my next weigh in!
  • Are you at your goal weight? Maybe that's why. I would check your diary too, make sure you're eating the amounts/calories you think you are? :)
  • I've just eaten a medium margarita pizza and a garlic baguette. I've been craving it for WEEKS and in a bid to get past it, I've had it and tomorrow I go back to normal. Do I feel better for having eaten it? Nope. But I knew if I didn't satisfy my craving it would just get worse so I did it!!!
  • Thanks all. Will not log treadmill time but will log cross trainer! :) it doesn't matter really as I don't eat exercise calories at the mo but was just curious either way!
  • Mine always says I'll weigh so much less, it's not that it's a bogus feature, but I take what it says with a pinch of salt. Like the poster above says, 4lbs is better than 0 lbs! :)
  • Thanks guys! On the days I work (and trying for days off, too) I walk between 10,000 to 15,000 steps so will eat back any steps above 12,000. That sounds like a nice compromise!
  • I've set my activity level to active, which I think is right? It was lightly active but I'm actually pretty active when I think about it. I don't log my walking, that pairs with my FitBit automatically, and I do log all other exercise separate. I've upped my calories a day to 1460, to see how that feels, even if it means I…
  • PS: I have opened up my diary :)
  • My exercise calories are high because of my FitBit, I think. I do at least 10,000 steps a day most days (at least 5 days a week), and my exercise calories are always massive, hence my question. I didn't want to eat back all those calories and then end up putting on. The only actual exercise I do cardio-wise is 10 mins on…
  • Okay, here is today's MFP stats: 1200 goal | 1244 eaten | 1638 exercise | 1594 left to eat I had in the goals bit that I do exercise 3 x times per week for 30 mins (but actually it takes me like 60-75 mins to do my gym circuit and I do the treadmill on my days off etc). So I wouldn't eat back those exercise calories,…
  • I'm definitely going to continue with the gym. I'm loving it, way more than I ever expected; I'm just surprised that my weight loss has slowed since I started at the gym. It's such a bizarre thing. I honestly thought it would fly off, which is probably me being overly optimistic.
  • Thanks so much guys! <3 Will give it time as I've just started the gym and if I feel hungry I'll eat back 25-50% of my exercise calories!
  • This post has been super helpful (and probably confused me even more). So. I'm currently eating 1200 calories/day and I go to the gym 3 times a week, do 10-15 mins of cardio plus weight and I attend a 45 min spin class once a week. I also work at a supermarket which means I get in 10,000 steps every day I work. Should I be…
  • Ah! That post cannot be found! :(
