I had it for a few weeks when I went really hard at some Fitbit challenges. It was very painful. My trainer had me work on some hip exercises and I switched cardio to swimming for a couple of weeks. Seems to be Ok for now.

That is awesome progress. You look great!

My surgeon says it will take 3 to 4 weeks of avoidance for the cravings to subside. Ughh! I messed up :(

I think better safe than sorry. Take care of yourself!

I accept friend requests. I was recently sleeved but have about the same goals as you. I am 5ft9 and started at 240....I am logging and weighing everything. I have much further to go but goal weight is 169.

Great job! Before surgery the doctor visits are unpleasant. They always talk about how much weight I need to lose and what it is doing to me. I know it must be wonderful to get positive compliments from the doc! I hope I am right behind you!

That is wonderful! It is always a great feeling when you can lose one of the notches on the scales at the doctor office!

Yes she cleared me to eat the meat in soups, soft fish and tuna..like those tuna creations where the tuna is shredded. I am not cleared to go eat a steak. LOL

Thank you! I had not thought of the hormone issues.

Yes, the nurse practitioner told me that. I spoke to my doctor yesterday and she said I was at the minimum BMI to even get surgery so I would not lose weight at the same rate as other patients. She told me I looked very healthy and needed to concentrate on getting more protein in. I am not as frazzled after speaking to her…

Wow..135 pounds is awesome. Congrats! It is very hard to not focus on the scales. When you are over weight, everyone focuses on how much you weigh. When you are losing weight, everyone tells you not to focus on weight. Difficult to change habits but I get what you are saying. Thank you !!

That is a remarkable turn around. Congrats!!! I hope I can be that successful!

Thank you so much. Very helpful. Especially "the scale isn't going to always be kind to you, so don't give it power over you". That makes sense!

That is a pretty broad assumption based on 2 posts aztec4life. I have questioned the weight loss because that is what baffles me. My doctor told me I should lose 20 -30 pounds in first two weeks. At 2 week checkup I had lost 17. My calories were under 400 and protein intake very low at 20g. Doc said to get protein up. She…

So do you get to do puréed foods after 7 days? I am still on full liquids. They told me liquids for 1 to 2 weeks. Bummer. I am craving real food but the reality is I can barely sip the protein shakes.

Were you hungry during the 9 days? I am on day 4 and starting to get hungry. However a sip of water still hurts like heck

Sending you prayers. Less than 96 hours for me. I am terrified!!!!

My surgery is next week. I am so nervous. These tips are great. I would not have thought of Chapstick.
