  • Just finished off my leftover chili with some cilantro and peas rice, sweet plantains and of course lots a hot sauce on top!
  • If you have a food diary for me to get great ideas from, feel free to friend me as well! I don't follow any particular diet just CICO and getting more movement in my day. I'm looking to cheer people on and friend a great bunch of people so we're in this weight loss journey together :)
  • >I prefer almond milk because it is lower calorie (vanilla unsweetened), and has a longer shelf life than dairy since I don't go through it very fast. Mine says use within 7 days. I buy silk or almond breeze brand. What brand are you buying? Id love for mine to last longer lol.
  • I cried because I was running late and realized I laced my sneakers without socks and would have to take them off and do it again. [ albeit recently]
  • I can't even say junk food because I'll turn my nose up at a donut for the sake of calories. But chips. Salty crunchy chips oooooh 1 serving is 180 cals and then the bag is empty and it was 4 servings I just went through
  • Breakfast - 0 (skip. I drink coffee but I add it to snacks) Lunch - 500 Dinner - 700 Snacks - 300
  • If your going to make the effort of calorie counting you mind as well log everything you eat. Not logging some things is just doing yourself a disservice and not being honest + can throw off how much weight you lose
  • For store brought balsamic vinegar and fat free Italian dressing are my best friends. Each is 20 calories and lower. Homemade I use some Italian dressing with a little yogurt and curry powder which is under 50 calories
  • The answer is whatever one your going to eat. I tried eating cottage cheese for the Yay healthy less sugar buuut it just sat in my fridge, separated and spoiled. Turns out I can't stand the texture of cottage cheese and I love flavored Greek yogurt.
  • Sent a message to be part of the group!
  • My long term goal weight is 140 pounds and I'm 5'6. I set that goal because of bmi and once I get to 140 I'll have a 10 pound cushion of staying within that weight. I don't ever remember being 140 and I have no clue what my pants size would be but my goal of 140 is by time I get there I'm hoping to have found a routine I…
  • Super new to strength training, I keep starting and stopping and still use machines. I had just finished doing some chest presses and something with my legs (I don't even know) well cardio is downstairs.. And down the stairs I went. My legs just gave up walking down the stairs and my shoulder slammed into a arm rail and I…
  • Hey I use it everyday as well and have a open diary set to friends. So if you have a open diary and log everyday add me!
  • I would say they're accurate enough that I don't question it for my sanity but it helps to double check on a food scale! If the container says 324 calories for 250g of food but you weigh it and it's 310g then the calories are off because of the weight
  • I'm guilty of this too! What helps is logging it earlier and eating it later so you planned for it or just going to bed lol. If your asleep you can't eat!
  • Just added mine! I'm so ready for this!
  • Trying to add mine! Can you not edit on mobile? And side note the dates (on my end) is incorrect. May still shows April dates for example! I'll try to add myself on a computer later!
  • Good Afternoon! Just reporting in! My recorded MFP weigh ins are on Mondays and well its MONDAY! Scale difference says -1.7 pounds this week :) I was doing really well all week and then Sunday I ate pizza and garlic knots. But thats not the point. My cals for that day ended up being 2,300 when I usually stay 1500 and…
  • It's haaard. But if you want that food settle for a good estimate and since we don't really know don't make it a frequent thing because then your overall calorie intake for the week is gonna be off. Once in a while is okay. When guessing I log in possible oil, double portions size, look though MFP entries for something…
  • @Nikion901 oh i see what your talking about! It seems like alot of them are already in the middle of a challenge. Do you participate with the challenge daily on the board or personally by yourself ( like you saw a challenge and it inspired you). Thanks for the link! I'm looking through it and liking it. ( usually i'm…
  • @Nikion901 hey! Where do you participate in weigh in challenges? Is it like a dietbet thing or a MFP sub or between friends irl? That sounds like some good accountability! I have alot of weight to lose and being obese it wouldn't be uncommon to lose 3 pounds per week. But I'm so (interject not consistent) that it'd lose .…
  • - just a opinion, may not be correct - The grams on the box works for the accurate calorie count. Let's say 56g uncooked = 210 calories. But when cooked your serving weight of spaghetti is not 56g. So an idea is how many servings in the recipe divided by the weight of it cooked should be your serving size. What I…
  • Good morning everyone! It's hump day! I weigh daily and record my trend. Scales is moving in the right direction again. Whoop! Logging accurately and being honest seems to be working. I'm trying to stop my late night reaching for junk food. Overall the week has been going well for me.
  • Smoking turned from a social thing, (only while drinking twice a month) into a habit/routine (everyday), I don't feel as if I was majorly addicted because the only thing I missed was the routine, have a cigarette with my coffee in the morning, have a cigarette after dinner. Buut I got on medication (birth control) which is…
  • Hey guys! Feel free to add me if you constantly keep up with your food diary! I love looking at different ideas for meals and different deficits. A little about me is I'm 25, I started with 130 pounds to loose and now I'm down to 100 pounds to lose. It seems so far away but double digits is only a pound or so away so I'm…
  • I fell off the wagon over the weekend as well. But as long as we dust ourselves off and get back to it is what counts! (as well as identifying why you fell off the habit and learn better for next time). The snow is melting. No snow or rain in the forecast for this week so far. I may have some jogging /long walks this week.…
