I went over in frustration. I decided I needed to come here for help because obviously, that is not a solution! :) I will use the TDEE and BMR calorie suggestions and back off on my goals. Just keep telling yourself the truth. Because, the truth is, this works. And you know it from personal experience. At least you don't have to worry about looking for a solution. Recall your goals and why you chose them. I bet if you took a survey you would find most people who have succeed with MFP have cheated before!

I guess you might be exhausted by all these comments. I admit I didn't read them all. Measuring 'loss' can be done in other ways (as has been mentioned). But I suspect metabolism. I mean calories in calories out. Right? Ways to boost metabolism are 1 strenght training 2 eat enough protein 3 go faster 4 drink a lot of water.

I have a rule. I don't hang around people who don't respect me. When someone says something to you that you suspect is rude but aren't sure just ask - are you telling me this to help me or to give me a hard time? Anyway, if it is family, I guess I hang around them, but only as much as I have to.

Wow. What a story of patience you are. I think I will be more confident that a 60% fat goal can work. I have found the high fat oil in my coffee with heavy cream keeps me satisfied for several hours.

As someone has noted above weight can fluctuate 3 or 4 pounds a day! I was really disappointed at the early results when I started dieting and exercising at the same time. You gain muscle and in the long run, that is a good thing because muscles are like the engine of a car. Bigger muscles will burn more calories.
