I believe it's been said that upon waking is the best time to weigh yourself.
-
That's great! I want to give it a try for several weeks but need to work out a good schedule on when to eat to maximize the benefits.

I say "gaining muscle" only because a couple of IF YouTubers have mentioned that when a person does IF, the body's Insulin levels naturally decrease and that hormone levels, particularly GH levels will naturally increase thereby helping with muscle gain. I'm new to the concept of IF so up until now I've been getting most…

You get the "Push Notifications" through your email address that you used to sign up with MFP. This is the best way to be notified. Also, I'm not sure if you've noticed the "Bell" icon at the top of this page. There will be a number highlighted in red to show the amount of activity in a topic that you posted. If you click…

Sorry its "Settings" then push notifications.

If your on the app, go to the "More" tab and then to "Push Notifications", from there you can choose what you want to be notified about.

The key thing to take from your own post is "starting" and "again". Your decision to re-commit is half the battle. Good luck. Lots of support and advice going around.

Ditto seeking others for motivation and support. Add me if you wish.

In my experience at the local PF that I go to, it seems that the younger guys usually HS age to early 20's are the ones that ogle and stare at the women. They do one set and then sit there for several minutes, then do another set. The older guys, myself included, will notice a woman (human nature) and then just get on with…

From what others have said in different discussions, sometimes using a scale can be counterproductive especially if one constantly weighs themselves every day expecting to see a loss in weight. The fact that you tried on a pair of jeans and had difficulty should be all the verification you need. Stepping on a scale will…

I have the same issue with the "RunKeeper" app that I use when I walk and/or run. Since I have an iPhone 6, the Health Kit's info and RunKeeper's info are both shared to MFP and that causes a inaccurate reading of like 2000+ calories burned. So most days, I get duplicate results and have to delete the duplicates.

I have "Glucose Companion" for iPhone 6. Works really great for me as you can set it up to notify you when to test.

Been T2 since about 2006. The struggle is real folks, and no one can offer more meaningful support than a fellow diabetic.

@marcosdt10 Haha....I told my wife on Monday that I felt guilty for not hitting the gym this weekend and I made the mistake of saying that I felt fat! She thought I was making fun of her. LOL

There definitely is a difference that I can see. Keep at it!

I hear you man. But I didn't exercise or log food at all this weekend! It was kinda my reward for the past several weeks of logging food and lifting. Got back into it yesterday. The struggle is real!

I go to a commercial gym that advertises as a "no gymtimidation gym" because that's what I can afford now. I have seen guys spend an hour or so working arms and chest one day, the next day if they do work legs it's for a considerable less time. But I think that like some who have commented, some guys believe that women are…
