This is what I did today:
Treadmill - 30mins 600 calories
Zumba Fitness - 60mins 634 calories
Dancing, general - 60mins 324 calories
Circuit training (as below) - 30mins 200 calories
Circuit training - 2 sets x 20
Step up & down
Step with side leg raise
Knee up with toe touch
Chest press
Triceps Kickback with 1.5 Kg dumbbell
Alternate lateral raise
Standing abs exercise - 5 types
Calorie details:
Totals from eating - 1,422 calories
Today's Goal along with exercise calories - 4,038 calories
Remaining - 2,616 calories

Should I eat back the exercise calories? That's a lot! I have been doing the above schedule for long now. Zumba & dancing is done alternate days. My weight loss seems to be about 1-2 Kg per month. Shouldn't I lose more?

Thank you.

EDIT:
I'm 5 2", 31 yr old female, weighs 72Kg.

I do the Treadmill on full incline (15) & walk at about 5.7Km/hr. I set the calorie goal to 600.

Zumba, dancing & circuit training calories is from MFP. Zumba & dancing/step aerobics is done alternate days which I enjoy. The other days I must be burning about 700 calories.

You might want to cut all the calorie burns by 50%.

I'm not sure what your stats are, but it would take me a little over an hour to get a 600 calorie burn from running. I usually stop at between 40-60 mins and my calorie burn is usually 375-525 Gross. I lose 40-60 calories for NET and if I were logging here I'd want to only eat back NET calories (I'm taking out my BMR which MFP already takes into account).

Pretty sure that those burns are waaaaaaaaaaay overestimated.

I have the same issue with the "RunKeeper" app that I use when I walk and/or run. Since I have an iPhone 6, the Health Kit's info and RunKeeper's info are both shared to MFP and that causes a inaccurate reading of like 2000+ calories burned. So most days, I get duplicate results and have to delete the duplicates.

Yea, those burns are way inflated. Not sure how you came up with those. I would start by cutting those in 1/2 and even then, I think that could be still a bit more than you actually burned.

This is what I did today:
    Treadmill - 30mins 600 calories

That's probably double what it should be unless you happen to be running a 30 minute 10k on that treadmill. I'm guessing that's not the case. Where are you getting the estimates from?

I burn 650-800 calories per hour running depending on terrain and I'm 13kg heavier (more weight, higher rate of burn).

Treadmill, Zumba and Circuit Training all look overinflated to me.

IMO, Treadmill is probably closer to 200, Zumba 350-400, Dancing is probably about right, Circuit Training probably 150.

I'd go with eating back half.

If you are happy with the weight you are losing why change anything?

    She says:

That indicates she isn't happy with her loss rate.

The good news is the OP is trending in the right direction. If she wants to optimize loss, assuming the calorie estimates are over-inflated (they are) and reducing consumption accordingly will certainly do that. It's smart to question calorie burn rates but also intake logging accuracy.

Tighten up both and you'll probably end up closer to 4kg per month.

    My answer in bold.

Treadmill - 30mins 600 calories. Nope. More like 200-300. Are you holding on to the machine at all? If so, 200 calories.
Zumba Fitness - 60mins 634 calories Nope. More like 300-400.
Dancing, general - 60mins 324 calories What kind of dancing? What intensity? Every song the same intensity? I give myself 100-150 calories per hour of dancing lindy hop.
Circuit training (as below) - 30mins 200 calories Maybe 100 for a half hour. You're not moving the entire time.

The treadmill one alone is probably 2-3x higher than it should be. I know when I jog its a lot lower than that.

Thanks for replying. Checked it today.. It is giving a 600 calorie burn in 30 mins. when set in personal trainer-calorie goal mode on 15 incline! Not sure why..

From all of your posts, about 200-300 calories in 30 mins. seems to be an appropriate value.

The treadmills always overstate the calories burned. Usually by a lot. For a treadmill workout, a good heart rate monitor will give you a decent approximation of calories burned. For me, running for 30 minutes would give me about 250 calories burned (according to HRM). The treadmill would give me probably 450.

I was hoping to lose about 3-4 Kg per month though 1-2 kg is good. I also felt the calorie burn seemed on the higher end, but was not losing so much & was worried whether I'm doing it right.. Don't want to be overworked too.
