I agree it is hard to lose weight after menopause. I’m 68. It takes me a good month to lose five pounds. That’s on a 1200-1300;cal diet. Slower metabolism, less active in general since retiring last year. Have started walking 3,4 times a week. Logging all intake and reducing portion sizes is helping.

Once a week. I’ve seen the daily fluctuations enough to know what causes them. I have to focus on the bigger picture. Am I trending in the right direction despite the little blips. B)

Twenty pounds overweight, me too. Just started here this week. Retired a year ago and activity level decreased dramatically as bored, mindless eating increased. So now I’m trying this approach, calorie counting plus a thirty minute walk four or five times a week. I’m 68-hate how frumpy I look-can’t wait to see progress.

Forgot to say that the ten pound gain was on top of the twenty extra that I was already carrying. Ugh. I HATE how I look

Fatter than I’ve ever been. Retired one year ago, moved to Florida and have eaten myself into a ten pound weight gain. Can’t seem to control carb cravings. Desperate now. This cannot continue :o
