A little disappointed to discover my daily step average is about 3,500 daily this month. I've been shooting for 6,000. Still better than before, but I'm going to try to ramp it up for the remainder of the month. I think 6,000 is reasonableable.

Yesterday I noticed that my body looked and felt a bit smaller. No change on the scale for some reason, but a lot of water release over the previous day. I had been bummed by the scale, but then noticed the size change and that made me feel great!! Good to pay attention to those NSVs. They help keep my head in the game.

I first started out with one particular weight goal in mind, and I got there, and then went 20 below that. I regained that 20 plus 20 more and realized both going down and going back up that there was a weight range where I felt great and my loose skin filled out a bit so I liked my overall body appearance better. That's…

No one, not one person... commented until 80 or 90 pounds. I agree people might think you're sick and that it's personal....but also, some folks are sometimes too emotionally cheap to give out a kind word when someone else is doing so well. Better to forget them and just do it for yourself.

In maintenance... it is no secret that it is a big challenge for me... I am trying to look at my real-life eating triggers and where they fall in the danger zone for me. For example: social issues: either the presence of, or, the absence of...seems to be at number one. Ridiculous binges of the worst foods occur when…

Good day yesterday, all around. My steps are looking good for today, too!

Jumping in late here, but still psyched to try again... Going for a two week stretch of increased steps. 7,000ish steps daily would be nice. Just a small increase, as I'm looking more at the daily aspect than the increase in steps. I'm cleared for a couple weeks of minimal stresses, hopefully; so, I'm going for a Spring…

Keeping up with a bouillion cube for salt, and also potassium and magnesium daily makes all the difference for me. When in ketosis, I always have energy. Really it is my favorite state to be in, but I find it hard to always sustain. So often it is something that I aspire to, but nothing beats that keto energy for me. One…

I'm also not a purist and don't consider my coffee made how I like it as breaking the fast. Until recently that included cream in my coffee, now its unsweetened cocoa powder. I eat food usually in the very late afternoon or later if possible. One meal. I put it off til as late as I can, because typically night eating has…

Nuts, cheese, sugarfree pudding, cheat days. Even a few calories or carbs over my sweet spot for losing. Carb creep is real. In order to lose consistently I have to work my program like a well oiled machine.

I've reached a point on this journey where I've had some big overall successes and also setbacks; and, I'd say I'm at about 15% navigating into the mystery that is maintenance. ..and I feel Iike I've reached a point where I feel more secure about being able to prevent my usual Yoyo swingback. I've gained some real skills…

I had one where I chowed down like a champ on a huge spaghetti dinner right when I was first doing keto. When I woke up I was mortified. Took me a while to figure out it wasn't real, and I was devastated til I did. Lol!! Total wish fulfillment scenario. Same thing when I quit smoking. I think I smoked a pack in my…

Awesome! It only gets better from here.

Lori Fulton! You go girl. Everything you mentioned I have done. It is doable and... I no longer need the C-PAP! At first I lost about 13 a month from keto and exercise. Then I stopped exercise cuz i overdid it, and still lost 10 a month just with keto alone. Total of 110. You can do this! Don't compare your path to others.…

Was not an altogether great month for my goal of increasing/maintaining steps... but it was a very good month in other areas of health related topics. I can be happy about that, even if I'm a bit perplexed by how unreliable my daily choices can be. I guess it's good that my unplanned choices are at least in overall…

Bacon and and sliced avocado, cup of bouillion.

I luv them so much, but don't seem to be able to stop at half of one...which would just barely work with my food plan. Unless there is someone present and willing to eat the other half when I do, it's a food I have to keep at bay. Very sad about that. I love everything about them. Might give it a whirl when I get back down…

Using outside motivators is the only reason I've been so successful so far. Sadly, my internal motivators aren't currently up to par. I say, "if it works for you then go for it." I also love tracking weight, foods, cals, macros, miles, steps, belt holes, measurements, dress sizes, etc... All The Stats!!! I also give myself…

In general, I'm a daily weigher. The ups and downs affect me, but I try to use the emotions...good or bad...to keep me focused. There are always going to be fluctuations. There are always days when you feel you should have lost but don't and vice versa. I stick with it because I learn things about my body and specific…

I'm feeling stuck in a "one step forward- three steps back" pattern that has me feeling so unmotivated. Also feeling like I'm crab walking with my efforts...not that any of this is bad- because progress is progress and changes are not linear- it's just that linear progess makes me feel so much better. It just does.…

Note to self: Do not go to the food pantry on an empty stomach. No good will come of it. Alas.

I hear there's another nor'easter on the way...so, more calories gone! But I hope that's the last of it. Just plugging along for the moment. Really trying to stay true to plan. It's hard as heck, but I also am feeling committed. Praying for the keto rush to hit me, to help mitigate cravings. I know what I have to do. Might…

Had a great keto day yesterday, and today is looking good as well. Early to bed tonite...just in case! I have a two week period of time coming up that seems relatively stress free, so I'm hoping to amp up the successes. Took me 40 minutes to dig my car out this morning and I worked up quite a respectable sweat doing…

I had a similar dilemma since I am a hard core coffee drinker. I settled for half and half to lighten it up and have been successful with it for a few years. The added carbs really do limit my other food choices since I try to stay at 21; but I'm okay with that and it works for me.

Well the fast was 90 hours...I hoped to go a little longer, but at a certain point it was just over. So, still pleased with that, and I broke the fast with scrambled eggs...so keto!! Now to get right back on plan. Not a lot feels right in my world at the moment, so succeeding in this fast feels like a much needed boost.…

Keto has so many benefits, weight loss can be one, but you will need to learn your bodies own calorie and macro needs. Use the guidelines you find here and adjust according to the results and pace that works for you. For example...in order to lose my weight I had to eat significantly lower calories than recommended...I…

42 hours into a fast. No set end time, just when I feel ready. Last month I did a longish fast as well. I wish it was a choice made to enhance a solid food plan, adding on to health benefits...but it feels more like a reaction to eating that is all over the place. Hoping it will help steady out my carb cravings and set me…

Egg fast sounds good. I'm trying something similar. Wishing us all some progress asap!
