  • Sounds like where I started many years ago! I originally was 294. As of today I am 184. I promise you, if I can do this, you can do it. Just have to decide that you are never turning back. I have kept my weight off for years and everybody asks me what the secret is, I will tell you. The secret is, it's forever and you…
  • You're rocking it, keep it up! I've never heard anybody call it a Live-it before besides me, from an amazing book I read :)
  • Yes, a lot of loose skin here. It's genetic & has to do with skin elasticity. Some people can shrink and look like they were never overweight, I looK more like a deflated balloon :/ But, I wouldn't trade it for being obese and hiding in the shadows again! I did EVERYTHING - skin brushing daily for a year, lost my weight…
  • This! Thought I'd add mine, started 292, currently 175. Hoping to get down to 155ish, I'm 5'6", bottom heavy as you can see :) I kept the first 100 off for 3 years, then had 3 pregnancies (1 birth), took a toll on my body but I made it through and have dropped an additional 17 since then. My all time best advice...SLOW AND…
  • What a difference in 25ish lbs made for you, you look incredible!
  • A small portion of it can be helped with losing it in a reasonable time vs. very quickly, strength training, dry skin brushing, etc. BUT - the majority has to do with your genetics and skin elasticity. Both my best friend and I have lost over 100 lbs each over the last 5 years. She did hers in two years (110lbs), mine took…
  • I lost 120 lbs and have kept it off for 8 years, even between pregnancies and miscarriages. Right now I'm trying to get down about 20 more pounds over the next year, to reach my final goal. One of the biggest things that helped was actually understanding why I became obese in the first place. I cannot recommend this book…
  • If you don't get anywhere with iron, try seeing a naturopath. After years of trying different things and doctors telling me I was perfectly healthy, and all the issues I was having was just due to having a 2nd baby, (which was 3 years ago by the way), I saw one, and she had me do saliva testing for my adrenals along with…
  • What a difference! Amazing job. I understand your struggle - I lost 120 lbs and it feels like I don't want to do it anymore - but I have 25 left to lose. I have a wicked sweet tooth - if it gets out of control I do a sugar detox where I cut out all forms of sugar but fruit. Even two weeks helps to to tame it down. I also…
  • You look AMAZING! Great job!
  • Some of it goes under clothes - but after 120 lb loss with very poor quality skin and no elasticity, I have a lot of loose skin under my arms and thighs. I have learned to love and respect my body for what it has accomplished, and not hide behind it. I wear tanks all the time, bat wings and all. It was very tough at first,…
  • This is a month ago already but this is my issue too - I have been at a deficit in calories, and started SL beginning of Jan. Fast forward two months, I'm up 3 lbs, and my pics I look slightly bulkier, definitely no more toned. I have about 20 lbs to lose, all lower body. I've lost 130 and kept it off for years, so I know…
  • It would be a great combo with running. You might be a little sore at first but you'll only be using hand weights, I don't get nearly as sore as when I lift at the gym (though I sweat more). Even if sore - cardio is a great active rest for your joints, just stretch a lot after running and take rest days. Good luck!
  • I've lost 110 and have 25-30 to go. The mentality has to change at this point I've noticed... Because it's no longer possible for me to lose 2 pounds a week, I'm happy if I lose a pound. It's frustrating though, to feel so close yet so far away. It definitely gets harder the closer I get. As for a plateau, what works for…
