  • I completed all levels of 30 day shred and moved on to Ripped in 30 and am now on week 4. Some of the levels I dreaded doing more than others but I stuck with it and can honestly say that I can see the results and that is what keeps me going. Just a word of advice...MODIFY. If you start getting frustrated, tired, or flat…
  • I lost 80 pounds and started about exactly where you are at although I am 3 inches shorter and weighed 230! I waited until I got a lot of fat off before starting to do more workouts involving strength. However, I think that if I had incorporated strength more earlier, I would have been better off! So, my advice is to…
  • Running my first half marathon made me love running again! I had a lot of trouble with my training and had reached a point where I would dread my runs. The energy and atmosphere is amazing. My first was Pittsburgh so it was a bigger half marathon but I truly felt like I was a part of something and it is so energizing to be…
  • Just let me start by saying that I never ever would have imagined that I would become a runner. If you had told me a few years ago that I would run a half marathon, I would laughed in your face. But when I plateaued on my weight loss journey, I decided to train for a 5K as a way to get the weight coming off again and…

I reached what was my "final" goal weight and have maintained that for a long time now; however, I still have fat that I hate and know that my body could be drastically improved. On occasion I will convince myself that I need to get the fat off and start restricting my calories and start…
  • I am type 1 diabetic and my go to diet pops are Diet Dr Pepper and Coke Zero. I find that their tastes are the best when compared to the regular versions (I actually like diet Dr pepper better than the original. Plus, I just googled and it is aspartame free!!!!...Coke Zero however is not.) I only drink a pop maybe once a…
  • Thank you all for your suggestions. My wanting to transition from logging has nothing to do with the time it takes or the measuring. It takes next to no time to hop on to the app and log my food and measuring has become a constant for me....I actually continued to measure some things even during my week hiatus from MFP…
  • Thank you for the suggestions! I gave it a shot for a week and it did feel good to not log every single bite into the app. However, an equal part of me felt out of control and I felt like I would start gaining the weight back. I think I just need to give myself more time to adjust.
